 Perform Assemble and Disassemble component
parts and list the parts, including the capacity
and brand name.
 Make an inventory list of the tools, equipment
and materials used.
LO 2 –
 Create bootable disk – Windows 7
 Configure BIOS
 Install Operating System
 Update Motherboard drivers
LO 3 –
 Install MS office application
 Install Anti Virus
 Install Browser
LO 4 –
 Make Straight Thru or Cross over cable
 Assign IP address both Server and Client PC
 Configure Computer Name and Workgroup

 Configure windows firewall settings, go to
network and sharing center then turn on
network discovery, files and printer sharing,
and Turn Off password both client and server
PC.
 Disable anti-virus software setting.
 Check the connectivity both server and client
using (PING command)
Ex. Syntax
PING 192.168.1.56 or PING Server

 Create folder put new files inside at least 4 files
and then shared the folder change permission
to everyone.

 Install printer Firmware in Server PC
 Try Test Print – Open Notepad type any info
 Shared Printer
 In client PC locate your Shared Printer and
Open Notepad then print. [observe below

Command and procedure to connect network resources
Use IP address, computer name, workgroup name to
locate
Open run command, type double back slash then
type[IP address, computer name] of the server PC.
Ex. \\192.168.1.56 or \\server
If the shared PC show double click the shared resources
to connect.
Open address bar type double back slash then type[IP
address, computer name] of the server PC.
Ex. \\192.168.1.56 or \\server
If the shared PC show double click the shared resources
to connect.
Press winkey in the search engine type double back
slash then type[IP address, computer name] of the
server PC.
Ex. \\192.168.1.56 or \\server

LO 1-
 Perform disk defragment
 Perform disk Clean-Up
 Open My Documents then Create folder and
put at least four files inside it.
 Go to Local disk D: Set Back-Up destination
 Perform Back-Up used your files created.
 After back-up (Note: Make sure that your back-up
files is correct and according to the standard ) Delete
your back-up files.
 Perform Restore files- (Ways – Open drive D:
then double click back-up image or open back
up and restore utility then click restore files
button.
 Verify if the restore files stay in the same location.
Open my documents where your create files origin
location.
