Subject;- Amendments in Punjab Public Service Commission ( Conditions of

Service) Rules,1978. Notification S O.CAB-I/4-5/2005 Dated 12th

September, 2005.

The following amendments may be incorporated in the PPSC (Conditions of Service)

Rules,1978

In the aforesaid Rules on page 13 for rule (3), the following shall be substituted, namely:

“3. Seniority-- (1) The inter se seniority of the members shall be determined in
accordance with the dates of their entering upon the office as members.

(2) On re-appointment for another term, a member shall retain the original
seniority.

(3) In case where two or more members enter upon the office on the same day,
their inter se seniority shall be determined on the basis of seniority in age.”

** “Provided that the Government may in an individual case and in

public interest allow such employment on such terms and conditions
as may be prescribed, in the case of a member who had ceased to
hold office either as a result of completing the term of office or had
resigned.”
