The Litmus Test

Do you really believe in Yahweh (God)?

Do you really believe that Yeshua (Jesus) is the way, truth and life?

Are you really willing to give up everything in order to have eternal life?

Are you really willing to follow the words of Yeshua?

Will you???

In Acts 15 the apostles basically gave the Gentile believers a litmus test in order to make sure
their hearts were in the right place. We must realize the context and culture of that time to
make any sense of what was happening. The Gentile’s who were coming to faith in Messiah
Yeshua were coming straight out of some of the most despicable Pagan worship practices and
rituals ever found throughout history.

Cult prostitution, child sacrifices and idolatry were just a few. These Gentiles had and
worshiped MANY gods. A lot of Gentile’s upon hearing of Messiah Yeshua were just adding Him
to their plethora of gods. The apostles had to be sure that they TRULY believed by having them
‘LEAVE’ their most prominent acts of pagan worship. After all, Moses (Torah) was being taught
every Sabbath meaning if they were sincere followers they would STOP the basic principles of
their pagan worship and lean of the Torah as they progressed.

There is NO WAY the 4 rules that the apostles laid out for the Gentiles were to be the end of
their requirements. Think about it…if this were so then the Gentiles could murder, lie, and steal
among many other unrighteous acts. This is ludicrous! The 4 rules were guidelines, a litmus test
a prerequisite, if you will, for the apostles to tell the true believers from the false.

Today we see a similar situation occurring. The churches and lifestyles of many today are filled
with Pagan practices. Halloween, Christmas and Easter ALL have their roots steeped in
paganism. We can try and whitewash it all we want, but truth is truth and every time we
celebrate one of these holidays in the guise of worshiping/celebrating Yahweh; we are a
snitch in His nostrils. Come up with any excuse you wish, it will not stand in the light of
Yahweh’s WORD! I don’t care what YOU think or what YOU feel or what YOU desire or what
YOU believe! Yahweh says don’t do it!

These days, as in the days of old, Yahweh is sending out His servants and they have drawn a line
in the sand…which side will you be on? You cannot MIX Pagan symbols, holidays, and
worship to demons along with worship to Yahweh and think your own ‘feelings or beliefs’
about it will make it alright in HIS eyes. It won’t! Most people tell me, “Well, God knows my
heart.” Yes, Yahweh does know your heart and Yeshua would say that you are a rebellious,
arrogant hypocrite whom Isaiah said well of that you would worship Yah with your lips, but
your heart would be far from him!

We are called to be a separate people…to come out of her, my people…not join her, for ANY
reason!

I realize that none of us are perfect; we all fall short of His divine glory and plan, however,
blatant Pagan worship is not a slip or simple mistake…its outright rebellion!

So, that is the litmus test of today. Will we turn and repent and STOP our pagan practices or will
we continue to follow our OWN traditions and turn our back on Yahweh???
Lawlessness, anti-Torah, Paganism, fluffy prosperity gospel is ALL being taught each and every
sungod- day in the churches across the world.
Please, I beg you come away and turn to Yahweh with ALL your heart or PLEASE stop using HIS
name and calling yourself something that you are not!
Mat 15:7 you hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying,
This people draws nigh unto me with their mouth, and honors me with their lips; but
their heart is far from me.
But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

Yeshua also said that the day would come when He would say, “Depart from me, you
who practice lawlessness!” Who is he talking to??? Go read it…those who use His
name!

Mat 7:20 wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

Not everyone that says unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven;
but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? And
in thy name have cast out devils? And in thy name done many wonderful works?
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, you that
practices lawlessness.

Yahweh alone has the right to tell us how to worship

Him!

Jer. 10:1 Hear ye the word which the LORD speaketh unto you, O house of Israel:
Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of
heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.
For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the
hands of the workman, with the axe.
They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers that it move
not.

Co 10:20 But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not
to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.
Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord’s
Table, and of the table of devils.

Rom 6:16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are
to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
 My own personal story

I’ve discussed this with many people and I’m always dumbfounded at their final decision. It has ended
the same way EACH time. They cannot deny the truth of the Pagan roots, just Google it and you’ll see for
yourself, however, they refuse to acknowledge that what they are doing is in ANY way wrong!!! They all
smile and say, “Well, that’s just not how I see it!”

I always look at my wife when they leave in astonishment! I mean, Okay, I can show you in scripture
where this shouldn’t be done, I can show you where EACH holiday you participate in is Pagan, I can
show you all this and you say you SEE it, but yet…YOU just don’t SEE it the way I do…this to me is the
epitome of rebellion!

Why you may ask am I so adamant about Pagan holidays? Well, because this is the very thing that led
my family and me into the truth of Yahweh and Messiah Yeshua. You see, one day I had to face this
same litmus test. When I first heard of Christmas and Easter being pagan I went and did my own
research…surely not, I thought! I was so wrong and when I first approached my wife on this subject she
immediately said, “I’m not ever giving up my Christmas tree!” I was like, WOW! I think this is a very
telling statement and attitude though! Most react this same way. No one wants to think they’ve been
wrong about something or that their traditions and childhood memories have been based upon false
teachings and lies.

Well, she saw the light after her own research and we haven’t celebrated the pagan holidays for over
three years now. Our oldest 2 children remember some of the past, but our youngest 2 will never know
the difference. We have since grown closer to Yahweh than ever before! You see, we had to pass that
initial test and then He could reveal more to us! It truly is a life unparalleled to anything describable.
