1. Just to review: A hyperlink (or link) is a word, group of words, or image that you can click on to jump to a
new document, a new section of your current document or an Internet page.
When it involves the Internet - you can just copy and paste the web address and turn it into a hyperlink
following the directions of whatever program you are using. You can also type some text on your Wikispace
that describes the page you want to link to and then highlight it and follow the directions for entering the the
address so that when people click on your words, you jump to the internet page specified. Directions are below.
a. Those that are a link to another page within the particular Wikispace group you are on - called Wiki Link.
b. Those are are external - not on that Wikispace’s group site (but could be on another wikispace group’s page/
site) OR somewhere else on the Internet.
LINKING
1. To link to external page for your Wikispace group,
a. Go to the page that you want people to be able to go to once you’ve linked. With your cursor, highlight and
copy the webpage address. Example:
c. A toolbar will pop up. At any time, if you make a mistake, use the UNDO or REDO buttons.
d. On the wikispace page, move your cursor to where you want your link to be.
Type in a short description of your link.
Example: Mrs. Maline’s Edline Page or Sixth Grade
f. Click on it.

3. Look for the Link symbol on the toolbar. See picture in Linking 1 d.
Now you can easily link your Wikispace page to your Edline Page.
