DYNAMIC ROUTING (OSPF)

10.1 TUJUAN
1. Mampu menggunakan kabel jaringan sesuai diagram topology.
2. Mampu melakukan konfigurasi dasar pada router.
3. Mampu mengaktifkan interface router.
4. Mampu melakukan konfigurasi routing OSPF pada semua router.
5. Mampu melakukan konfigurasi OSPF router ID.
6. Mampu menverifikasi OSPF routing.
7. Mampu mengkonfigurasi static default route.

10.2 TEORI DASAR


Protokol routing dinamis (Dynamic Routing Protocol) biasanya digunakan
pada jaringan yang besar untuk memudahkan operasi kerja dibandingkan hanya
menggunakan route static. Protokol dinamis telah digunakan sejak tahun 1980.
Protokol routing dinamis pertama di release pada tahun 1982 adalah Routing
Information Protocol (RIP). Protokol ini tidak dapat digunakan pada jaringan
dengan skala besar. Untuk memenuhi kebutuhan jaringan yang besar, digunakan
dinamis routing protokol Open Shortest Path First (OSPF).
OSPF pertama kali dikembangkan oleh IETF pada tahun 1987. OSPF
merupakan link state routing protocol, dikembangkan untuk menggantikan
distance vector routing protocol RIP. OSPF menggunakan konsep area
skalabilitas. Pada OSPF bandwith digunakan sebagai matric.
Untuk mengaktifkan OSPF pada router digunakan perintah sebagai berikut :
Router (config) #router ospf process-id
Router (config-router) #network network-address
Wildcard-mask area area-id
Process-id adalah nomor 1-65535, yang dipilih oleh administrator,
berfungsi sebagai penanda lokal router OSPF. Network berfungsi bahwa semua
interface pada router yang sesuai dengan network address. Pada perintah
network akan dapat mengirim dan menerima paket OSPF (routing update).
Wildcard-mask merupakan inverse dari subnet mask, contoh :
Subnet mask : 255.255.255.240
Wildcard-mask : 0.0.0.15
Sedangkan area area-id menunjukkan OSPF area, yaitu group router yang
menggunakan informasi link-state yang sama. OSPF router ID digunakan untuk
mengidentifikasikan masing-masing router pada domain routing OSPF. Cisco
router menggunakan 3 cara dalam menentukan router ID :

1. Mengkonfigurasikan IP address dengan menggunakan perintah OSPF


router-id.
2. Jika router-id tidak dikonfigurasi, router menggunakan IP address
tertinggi dari interface loopback router.
3. Jika tidak dikonfiguarsi interface loopback, maka router menggunakan
IP address tertinggi dari interface router.
Untuk menverifikasi router OSPF kita dapat menggunakan perintah sebagai
berikut :
1. Show run
2. Show ip protocols
3. Show ip ospf interface
4. Show ip ospf neighbor
5. Show ip ospf
6. Show ip router
Dengan menggunakan perintah show ip route kita dapat melihat
routing table OSPF. Sebagai contoh hasil routing table :
O 10.10.10.0/25 [110/65] via 192.168.10.2,
00:01:02, Serial0/0/0
Artinya O adalah OSPF, 10.10.10.0/24 adalah jaringan yang dituju melalui
interface. Serial0/0/0 dengan IP address 192.168.10.2 dengan cost 65 dan
adminitrasi distance 110.

1. Rancanglah jaringan sesuai gambar topologi jaringan diatas.

2. Lakukan konfigurasi dasar pada router R1, R2, dan R3 yaitu :


a. Nama router.
b. Password.

3. Konfigurasi IP address pada interface serial R1, R2, dan R3. Verifikasi
IP address dan interface aktif/tidak dengan menggunakan perintah :
Show ip interface brief

4. Konfigurasi IP address pada interface Ethernet PC1, PC2, PC3


verifikasi dengan perintah ;
ping ip address

5. Konfiguarsi OSPF pada router R1.


a. Masukkan ID proses 1 sebagai parameter proses ID.
R1 (config) #router ospf 1
b. Konfigurasi jaringan LAN 172.16.1.16/28 untuk dimasukkan dalam
update ospf dari router R1.
R1 (config-router) #network 172.16.1.16

c. Konfigurasi router untuk menginformasikan jaringan
192.168.10.0/30 terhubung ke interface serial0/0/0.

8. Konfigurasi OSPF router ID


a. Pada konfigurasi OSPF terdapat OSPF router ID, yang digunakan
untuk mengidentifikasi router pada domain routing OSPF dan router
ID adalah IP address. Secara default router ID yang digunakan
adalah IP address yang tertinggi dari interface yang aktif. Untuk
mengetahui router ID, dengan menggunakan perintah :
Show ip ospf interface

b. Gunakan loopback address untuk mengubah router ID pada masing-


masing router.

9. Untuk melihat routing table pada masing-masing router, gunakan


perintah show ip route.

10. Redistribusi OSPF default route.


a. Konfigurasi loopback address pada router R1 untuk mensimulasikan
hubungan ke Internet Service Provider.

1. Jelaskan fungsi protokol routing digunakan router dalam jaringan!
Jawab:
Protokol routing memiliki tugas dan fungsi menunjukkan jalan untuk
sebuah informasi agar dapat mencapai tempat tujuannya. Routing protocol
akan mengumpulkan rute-rute perjalanan apa saja yang tersedia dalam
sebuah jaringan dan semua kemungkinan yang ada. Kemudian rute-rute
yang terkumpul tersebut diolah dan dijadikan sebuah tabel yang disebut
sebagai routing table. Dari routing table ini, kemudian perangkat jaringan
pintar seperti router dapat memilih jalan terbaik untuk menuju ke lokasi
tujuan.

2. Jelaskan perbedaan protokol routing OSPF dengan RIP!


Jawab:
Perbedaan protokol routing OSPF dengan RIP adalah kalau Routing
Information Protocol (RIP) merupakan protokol routing dinamis yang
pertama di release pada tahun dan RIP ini tidak dapat digunakan pada
jaringan dengan skala besar. Untuk memenuhi kebutuhan jaringan yang
besar, digunakan dinamis routing protokol Open Shortest Path First
(OSPF). OSPF pertama kali dikembangkan oleh IETF pada tahun 1987.
OSPF merupakan link state routing protocol, dikembangkan untuk
menggantikan distance vector routing protocol RIP. OSPF menggunakan
konsep area skalabilitas. Pada OSPF bandwith digunakan sebagai matric.

3. Jelaska fungsi process-id,router id dan area id pada konfigurasi OSPF!


Jawab:
1. Process-id berfungsi berfungsi sebagai penanda lokal router OSPF,
dengan nomor 1-65535 yang dipilih oleh administrator.
2. Router id berfungsi untuk mengidentifikasikan masing-masing
router pada domain routing OSPF.
3. Area-id berfungsi untuk menunjukkan OSPF area, yaitu group router
yang menggunakan informasi link-state yang sama.

4. Jelaskan 3 cara router OSPF untuk menentukan router ID !


Jawab:
1. Mengkonfigurasikan IP address dengan menggunakan perintah
OSPF router-id.
2. Jika router-id tidak dikonfigurasi, router menggunakan IP address
tertinggi dari interface loopback router.
3. Jika tidak dikonfiguarsi interface loopback, maka router
menggunakan IP address tertinggi dari interface router.

default-information originate.

10.7. KESIMPULAN
Dari praktikum yang telah dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa pada modul
10 ini kita bisa melakukan routing menggunakan dynamic routing (OSPF) dan
melakukan konfigurasi-konfigurasi yang diperlukan dalam routing tersebut.
