AWAKENING DEL VALLE

(From 16 to 22 March)

In the valley of spring all begins with the "Awakening

Valley", with snow still on the highest peaks of
Extremadura, with its river and its many gorges
welcoming their melting and transforming the region into
the Valle del Agua.

It's time to enjoy the unique spectacle of the jerteñas

throats and routes around them. Its spectacular
waterfalls that contrast with peace along the river that
unites us and gives its name.

This is an especially ideal time to practice outdoor

activities such as hiking or trekking, mountain biking,
climbing, canyoning, paragliding ...

It is also a good time to see birds (birding,

birdwatching) as it is now when migratory begin to
go home and hillsides and forests is renewed,
exuding animal and plant life ... inviting the traveler
to enter them, wishing be discovered.

With the advent of "Cherry Blossom" mountains offer visitors the spectacle of one of the largest gardens in the world

Free bus routes to discover Spring Valley

Shuttle service will be provided on 24, 29, 30, 31 March and 7 April. It is a totally free service.

In each of the eleven municipalities of Valle del Jerte be enabled to turn a parking area on the occasion of the feast of the Cherry Blossom. In this way you
can park your car and use these bus routes to move between populations.

For locations of the parking areas can check the Tourist Office Jerte Valley or at different points of information to be established by
the region at this time.

Program preview
You do not know the Valle del Jerte if you do not know in Cerecera. The collection of our famous cherries takes
place during the months of May, June and July. At this time we celebrate for years the "Cerecera", a cultural,
