Today is the 2nd day of my lesson at SK Taman Megah.

As for today, I entered

my class which is 4 Dinamik before this and I do not feel any kind of nervous feeling

as I had before this. I realize this is maybe due to the fact that I have grown to socialize

with the students in that class since it’s my third relief class with them since the first

day of the week.

As I enter the class, I noticed that the students are seated in their place and

their attention was solely on me. I understood that this is the outcome of the firm tone

of my voice. They are seeing me for the third time this week and I believe the students

are used with my style of handling the class. Somehow, this reaction from them makes

me slightly happy as well as it boosted my self-confidence.

I found that some students have difficulty in understanding some of the English

words. This is maybe due to the fact that most students are from an English speaking

background and they hardly practice using Malay language. I did not failed to notice

that even in the school culture English is widely used as the first language rather than

the Malay language.

I did not failed to notice that the students in this class are quiet and focused

when they are concentrating on the given task and the noise only arises the moment

they have done with their work. The student who have been missing came back a few

minutes before the class for the day ends and given me a reason for not being in the

class. I gave her a fair warning and continued with my work.

As for today, I realized that being a teacher is not only about providing

knowledge to the students but as a teacher we are required to play every single role

in life for the well-being of our fellow students. I hope today’s experience will help me

to be more aware as well as to be more sensitive towards the needs of my students.
