Many User Face Difficulties In Setup Wireless Routers With Ptcl

Broadband So I Decided To Make A Guide For Pg Members. What U Need

 Ptcl Broadband
 Wireless Routrer
Here Is Back Panel Of Tplink Router

First Of All Put A Lan Cable As Shown Below In Image (1 End In Router
And One End In Any Lan Jack)

The Open Internet Explorer And Write “192.168.1.1” In Address BarPut

“Admin”, “Admin” In Username & Password. Press EnterRouter Cpanel Will
Open Up Click On The “Lan” Under “Network” As Shown In The Below
Image
And Change The “Ip Address” (By Default Will Be 192.168.1.1)Change It To
Other The By Default. It Can Be 192.168.0.1 Or 192.168.1.4 Etc…..Press
The Save Button Ur Router Will Restart.Power off the router and power it
On Now write in Internet Explorer the new IP Address “what ever u put
there” In Address Bar And give username and password After That Click
On “Wan” Under “Network”

And Select “Dynamic Ip” From “Wlan Connection Type” Menu And Then
Click Save Again Ur Router Will Restart. Now Put The Cables As Showing
In The Following Image.
And Now Try To Connect Hope This Will Help U

Port Forward + Static IP

this guide will show u 2 things how to configure ur router with static ip and
get port opened i dont know but i fight with this thing for 2 days and after
that my port get opened so its worth to share with my frnds

first off all we will configure our router to Static IP

here i will assume ur router IP adress is 192.168.0.1 & Dsl IP is

192.168.1.1

1. First of all go to ur wireless router put 192.168.0.1 in explorer and give ur

password (By default admin,admin)
2.go to Network-->WAN---> and put as shown in following images press the
save button.
3.Now ur router set to Static IP its your Computer Time
4. Go to your wireless internet connection propties and open TCP/IPv4 and
do as following Image Showing press ok button and close all the
windows. now ur computer and router completely configured

now we move on PORT FORWARDING

open your Dsl Router 192.168.1.1 in explorer and give ur password (By
default admin,admin)
1. goto NAT--> Virtual Servers--> Click on add
2.Select Custom Server: Utorrent(Name of Which Client U Using)
3. IP Address 192.168.0.100
Assume ur port in Utorrent is 51234
External Port Start 51000
External Port End 52000
Protocol TCP
Internal Port Start 51000
Internal Port End 52000
Remote Ip 192.168.0.100
External Port Start 51000
External Port End 52000
Protocol UDP
Internal Port Start 51000
Internal Port End 52000
Remote Ip 192.168.0.100
External Port Start 51000
External Port End 52000
Protocol TCP/UDP
Internal Port Start 51000
Internal Port End 52000
Remote Ip 192.168.0.100

click save/apply button.Simply reset all your devices (PC, Dsl Router,
Wireless Router). and now ur port 51234 is opened and if still showing
closed then got to ur wireless router and do the same adding Virtual
Servers.

Security: Mac Filtering

4. You should be able to view WLAN MAC address on this
screen.

2. Click 'About This Mac';
3. Click the 'More Info...' button (this will launch 'System
Profiler');
4. Click the 'Network' line item in the left column; In the right
panel, under the 'Ethernet' section, you will see the system's
MAC address listed.
Basically this guide is written for new modems provided by PTCL with there
custom firmware in which port forwarding is very difficult
