FRIDAY , MAY 14 TH

Plead Your Case!

PASTOR
CHRIS

Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou,

that thou mayest be justified (Isaiah 43:26).

I n the scripture above, God didn’t say, “Put me in

remembrance” because He’s forgetful. Rather, He
was introducing a legal twist to the art of prayer. He said,
“Let us plead together,” meaning “Let’s come into an
agreement; bring forth your strong reasons and
arguments; plead your case.”
This is actually an invitation from God for you to bring
His words to Him. These are the statements of fact,
promises, and declarations He’s made concerning you or
the circumstance or situation you want changed. He wants
you to put Him in remembrance of what He has said
concerning the case you’re dealing with!
For example, in Acts 4:24-31: when the Apostles faced
severe persecutions, they prayed thus: "…Lord, thou art
God, which hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and
all that in them is: Who by the mouth of thy servant David
hast said, Why did the heathen rage, and the people imagine
vein things? The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers
were gathered together against the Lord, and against his
Christ…And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant
unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy
word, By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs
and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child
Jesus. And when they had prayed, the place was shaken
where they were assembled together; and they were all
filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God
with boldness."
This prayer was based on the Word of God. The
disciples came together to plead their case before God.
They quoted specific scriptures and put Him in
remembrance of His Word. Thus, in pleading your case
before God, you must pray the Word! That doesn’t mean
you merely say, “Oh Lord, I pray according to Your Word…!”
Rather, you speak His Word back to Him and present
relevant scriptures as the basis for which you’re demanding
a miracle.
Is there something you want God to do for you? Is
there a situation you want changed? Is it something that
has to do with millions of individuals, or maybe with some
loved ones? Or does it have to do with your job, your
family, or with some crisis? Whatever the situation is,
present your case in a legal form! Present God’s Word to
Him as your petition. Stand on the words God Himself
has spoken concerning the situation, and take that as the
reason for which you expect things to turn out the way
you want.

Prayer
Dear Father, I thank you for teaching me today, how
to plead my case before you in prayer and turn
hopeless situations around for my good. I’m so
grateful and I rejoice exceedingly to know that when
I pray according to your Word, you hear and grant
my requests, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
