What is HVAC ?

HVAC – Heating, Ventilating, and Air conditioning

The main purpose is to provide the people working

inside buildings with “conditioned “ air so that they will have a
comfortable and safe environment.
What is HVAC ?
HVAC is the technology of indoor and vehicular
environmental comfort. Its goal is to provide thermal comfort,
and acceptable indoor air quality.

HVAC system is a sub discipline of mechanical engineering ,

based on the principles of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics,
and heat transfer.

HVAC is important in the design of medium to large industrial

and office buildings such as skyscrapers and in marine
environments such as aquariums, where safe & healthy
building conditions are regulated with respect to temperature
and humidity, using fresh air from outdoors

Plumbing

Plumbing is the system of pipes, drains fittings, valves,

valve assemblies, and devices installed in a building for the
distribution of water for drainage, heating and washing, and
the removal of waterborne wastes, and the skilled trade of
working with pipes, tubing and plumbing fixture in such
systems.

Water supply

A water supply system is a system for the

collection, transmission, treatment, storage and
distribution of water from source to consumers,
for example, homes, commercial establishments,
industry, irrigation facilities and public agencies
for water—related activities.
Drainage

Generally all the wastage water from all the floors

are being driven out from the building through the
main drainage pipes, and that main pipe is
connected to the “MUNCIPALITY” lines.

Fire Fighting

Fire fighting is the act of extinguishing fires. Firefighting is

a highly technical skill that requires professionals who have

spent years training in both general firefighting techniques

and specialized areas of expertise.

Sprinkler System
Sprinkler system means a system of piping designed in accordance
with fire protection engineering standards and installed to control or
extinguish fires. The system includes an adequate and reliable water
supply, and a network of specially sized piping and sprinklers which
are interconnected. The system also includes a control valve and a
device for actuating an alarm when the system is in operation.

Fire Extinguishers
A portable device that discharges a jet of water, foam, gas, or other
material to extinguish a fire.
Hose Reel System

A fire hose is a high-pressure hose that carries water or other fire

retardant (such as foam) to a fire to extinguish it. Outdoors, it
attaches either to a fire engine or a fire hydrant. Indoors, it can
permanently attach to a building's standpipe or plumbing system.
Hero of Alexandria invented it and based it on Ctesibius' double
action piston pump
