RADWIN SETUP DETAILS FOR (2.4 & 5.8) GHz Antennas and Details of
Software Up-Gradation

1. IP Set up for logging in the RADWIN MODEN in the Laptop

Start Menu---Control Panel---Network Connection—Local Area Connection (LAN)


---Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) ---Properties

Defaul IP address of Laptop – 10.0.0.119


Default laptop subnet – 255.0.0.0

2. Start Menu-Programs—WinLink100 Manager- WinLink100 Manager

3. Login Screen-IP Address-Use Local Connection

4. Password: admin

5.Main Screen Will Appear

6. Set to Give Soft Loop from Radwin Modem towards MPLS Router
Go to Maintenance---Loop back

Press Enter and the Screen will appear like this

To Give Loop from BTS End towards MPLS Router Select Line LOOP in the BTS End
site and None in the Customer END

To Give Loop from Customer End towards MPLS Router Select Reverse LOOP in the
Customer End site and None in the BTS END

To Check the Tx Power in the ODU follow the Step


Go to Configuration as shown below

Select the END you want to check the Tx Power or to change the Tx Power

To Check the IP Address of Farend / Nearend RADWIN nodes

To Check the Software Version of the ODU in Operation in a Active LINK

To Restore the MODEM to Factory Defaults Settings

Link Installation Process


1.Click on Next on this POP UP

SSID-We can assign anything from Alphabets,Numerical & Alpha-Numericals


LinkName: Airtel

Site1: The END from where we are installing the Link(e.g-BTS End)
Site2: The END which is the Remote End(e.g-Customer End)
Then Click on the Change Password if the Link is installed for the first time or if it is
asking for the Password

Clicking on the Change Password this POP-UP will open

Enter the Current Link Password as: wireless-bridge


New: linkquest
Confirm: linkquest

Press OK and the Again one POP UP will appear asking for YES/NO . Select YES

If the PASSWORD is loaded Successfully then the SCREEN will be appearing like this.
The LINK PASSWORD has been successfully UPDATED as shown and Click on OK
then Press NEXT

After Pressing NEXT the Following Screen will appear

Operating Channel is the Frequency in which the link is working

To change the Frequency Select other from the Drop Down Link and change the
Frequency
Then Click on Next to Continue

Select the Service as Ethernet+1*E1 for 1 E1


Rate : Select as Adaptive or 12Mbps
Distance :It is the Distance between the TWO RADWIN ODU(in KM)
And then click on EVALUTE and then NEXT to Continue

Then the following Screen will be Appearing Select the Tx Clock as Transparent and
press NEXT to Continue

Then this Screen will APPER Press Finish to Complete the Link Set up

The LINK is installed Successfully

STEPS to UPGRADE the Software to 1.750 from any existing Versions

The Defaul Laptop IP Address will remain the same and set the Default Gateway of
laptop as shown
Defaut Gateways=IP Address of the modem which we can get from the Management
Option in the Configuration as shown above

Please give the Default Gateway of the REMOTE END first and then after completion of
UPGRADATION of the Remote End give the Default Gateway of the Near End(from
the END where you are LOGGED in)

Browse the SwUpd file from the Radwin 1.750 CD or Download the PATCH from the
RADWIN Site (through internet)

Please RUN the SpUwd file and Click on Next

Give the IP Address SAME as the Default Gateway and Click on Next

The Screen will be appearing like this

After the NEW RADWIN software is successfully installed CLICK on Finish


Follow the SAME STEP for UPGRADATION in the NEAR END

After the Successful Completion of Software Up gradation in both the ENDS


Please RESET the MODEM to RETORE DEFAULTS one after another
i.e First RESET the MODEM to RETORE DEFAULTS in the REMOTE END(e.g
Customer END)
then RESET the MODEM to RETORE DEFAULTS in the Near End(e.g.BTS END)
* e.g. on the basis that we are logging in fron the BTS END
