ABSTRAK

Penelitian ini dilakukan karena banyaknya kasus pencurian sepeda motor

yang terjadi dikalangan masyarakat. Oleh sebab itu dirancang sebuah alat
pengaman sepeda motor jarak jauh yang bertujuan untuk membuat sebuah sistem
keamanan sepeda motor yang dikontrol melalui perangkat seluler berbasis SMS.
Sehingga memberikan rasa aman bagi pengguna sepeda motor yang ditinggal jauh
dari area parkir dan memaksimalkan handphone dalam sistem otomatis serta
memanfaatkan mikrokontroler yang saling bersinergi dan menghasilkan alat yang
bermanfaat bagi pengguna. Perangkat keras yang digunakan adalah Arduino
Nano, Sim 800, handphone, relay dan sim card. Mekanisme sistem kerja alat,
ketika kunci kontak dinyalakan maka akan terjadi panggilan kepemilik kendaraan,
sehingga sepeda motor dapat dimatikan dengan mengirim SMS dengan format
“OFF” dan di kirim ke nomor yang telah diprogram untuk mematikan kendaraan.
Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah tercipta sebuah alat yang mampu mengamankan
sepeda motor dari pelaku pencurian.

ABSTRACT
The research was conducted because many motorcycle theft cases
occurred in the society. Therefore, a remote motorcycle safety device was
designed aiming to create a motorcycle security system which was controlled via
SMS-based mobile devices. The safety device would maximize the mobile phone
in the automatic system and utilize the microcontroller that synergized each other.
It is expected that this device would provide a sense of security for motorcyclist
who left their motorcycle far from the parking area. The hardware used was
Arduino Nano, Sim 800, mobile phone, relay and simcard. The mechanism of the
device working system was as follow, when the ignition was switched on; it
would call the motorcycle owner so the motorcycle could be turned off by sending
the message with the format "OFF" and also would be sent to the number that has
been programmed to turn off vehicle. The result of this research was the creation
of device which was capable to secure the motorcycle from the theft.
