TASK
1. Consult with your Supervisor
2. Assess the situation (type of stage being
used, venue requirements, indoor or
outdoor usage etc.)
3. Designate Loading/Unloading area for ease
of assembly (close to build location)
4. Ensure the use of a Forklift or other
mechanical lifting devices over manual
handling to move staging elements
5. Review SWMS to ensure clarity around risk
controls and procedures for the task
(Manual Handling, Loading/Unloading of
trucks, Forklift usage and any other relevant
SWMS)
6. Review CAD’s, site renders or any other
build plans
7. Assign area for the construction of the stage
8. Isolate the build area
9. Take measurements and mark out staging
areas with reference to final build plans
10. Place down ground protection where
relevant
11. Move staging elements into position
12. Position legs to align with the correct
staging position
13. Construct support
14. Insert floor surfaces
15. Check level
16. Install hand railings where relevant
17. Test stage for suitability and structural
