MEHTOD STATEMENT
ASPHALT ROADS RECTIFICATION AND COMPLETION
1. SCOPE OF WORK
The contractor will furnish all labour, materials, tools and equipment required to
complete the works in conformance with these specifications.
Workmanship and Certified operators from road work specialized contractor for
satisfactory work as recommended standards will be completed.
01.3 Materials
The following materials are required to complete the above mentioned works..
Construction Water
Concrete Cast in Place
Precast Concrete Curbstone, Pavers/Tiles
Sand for Bedding and Cement Mortar etc.
Safety barrier, lighting, warning tape and PPE.
To work as a team that support site management plan as per schedule, the work area
to be confirmed according to priority basis. The work will be organized by responsible
engineer/supervisor with proper arrangement of manpower, equipment, materials,
approved drawings and standard construction method in view of quality and safety.
Project internal local and residential asphalt roads driveways works are constructing
into two stages as recommended by the RC representative and Project Management
(PMT). The Contractor is following the procedure and construction of roads
completion and other appurtenant works in reference with Royal Commission
specification and standards as drawings, PMT approved documents and
recommendations.
General survey and cleaning and leveling the ground locations where asphalt roads
and walkways to be constructed. Exactly survey marking of coordinates and center
line for asphalt road ways, curbstone edges and tiled walkways as per dimension
shown in the approved drawings. The roads widths as per the approved drawings
are.
Construction of roads in two stages as per suitability of site internal access, fist stage
completes roads upto asphalt base course only and remaining work of roads will be
completed in second stage after a period when the traffic movement will less on site
area. All the balance work of roads like parking lane, curbs walkways with asphalt top
surface course will be done in second stage to have the roads in condition at time of
project handover.
6. Curbs Fixing ( Normal Roads ) : To fixing curbs with foundation exact to road
width, cutting straight edge and remove loose edge 10cm in road width of asphalt
base course and aggregate etc. as shown in the drawing sketch Stage II (Roads
Without Parking).
7. Asphalt Base Course (Roads With Parking Lane) : Similarly cut and remove
loose edge 10cm width at earlier laid Asphaltic Concrete Base Course to continue
course layer at parking lane areas with full width of road upto curbs as shown in
the drawing sketch Stage II With Parking Lane.
8. Walkway : Complete underground work of walkways utilities manholes and light
pole bases etc. Then construction of walkways curbs, interlock pavers as
mentioned in the drawings.
9. Asphalt Top Surface Course : Lastly to lay Asphalt Concrete Surface Course
( 50 mm Thick Top Layer ) over earlier laid asphalt base course and other
required areas as indicated in the drawings with RC standards.
10. Road Finishing Works : Complete road marking and traffic signs as indicated on
the drawing.
11. Remove all unwanted materials, construction equipments and cleaning of roads
for inspection and initial acceptance for handover.
Project Manager
To allocate duties and responsibilities & overall coordination with SABIC PMT, Royal
Commission (RC) and Contractor personnel / utility departments site team..
Project Engineer
To ensure duties and responsibilities & overall coordination with PMT engineers,
Royal Commission (RC) representative has been done. The required documents,
drawings, Construction Method and materials are approved. Monitor the work
schedule to start and finish on time with QC inspection, permits and Contractor
personnel with assigned team
Construction Manager

HSE Manager
Planning safety, tool box meeting conduction, implementation of safety & security
plan, monitor safety works, equipments and PPE on site, liaisonning with PMT, site
team, safety officers.

4. ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES
The Health safety environment plan is based on SABIC E&PM / Royal Commission
guidelines, safety is the responsibility of all and the site project manager will monitor
all spheres of operation, & will strive to achieve the safety objectives by means of
efficient management control.

All Asphalt Roads Construction are executed as per approved layout drawings and
materials in reference with standards of Royal Commissions and SABIC. Project
work is guaranteed as per contract agreement from date completion of project or
preliminary hand over.
