Teacher:
What signal(s) did the teacher employ to acquire the student’s attention?
What different forms of active participation did the teacher use to engage the
students? (Thumbs up/down, slates, talk to neighbor, think about, list, draw, write,
look at, summarize, underline, note sheets, raise your hand, etc..)
Every few minutes 3-5, count how many students are “off” task.
Maybe they are in their desk, talking to off topic to neighbors, playing with toys
etc…
