Fuentes de Temporización ( reloj) del
Controlador T1/E1

Step 1. Configure the ISDN switch type according to the country’s ISDN implementation.

Step 2. Configure DSP clocking so it is synchronized with the PSTN clock.

Step 3. Configure the E1 line code. Refer to the local service provider for the correct
setting.

Step 4. Configure the E1 frame format. Refer to the local service provider for the correct
setting.

Step 5. Configure the clock source to define which side will provide clocking.

Step 6. Configure a logical voice port to define which channels will be used for voice.

Step 7. Configure ISDN overlap-receiving for countries with variable-length numbering

plans.

Step 8. Configure incoming ISDN calls as voice. The calls will be directly passed to
the DSPs.

Step 9. Reset the interface if necessary, depending on the configuration.

• Each dial-peer or ephone-dn can have one incoming COR and
one outgoing COR
• Can be used to control access to dialable destinations that
are internal to the enterprise or external to the enterprise

initiate certain classes of calls.
• Outgoing COR list indicates the capacity required for an
incoming dial peer to deliver a call via this outgoing dial peer

Class of Restriction Case Study – XYZ company

• The XYZ company wishes to prevent toll fraud by restricting the
destinations on the PSTN that IP phones and analog phones
attached to FXS port can call.
• There should be no restrictions internally; everyone internal should
be able to call anyone else internal
• All phones MUST be able to call 911
• Within the XYZ company there are Lobby phones, Employee phones,
Sales, and Executive phones
• The Lobby phone should be able to call only 911 on the PSTN
• The Employee phones should be able to call 911 and local calls on
the PSTN
• The Sales phones should be able to call 911, local calls, and
