1. REGISTRATION PROCEDURE

PROCESS ACTION

BEFORE 1. Complete and bring the following documents* to the learning centre:
REGISTRATION  Conditional Letter of Admission
 Original AND a certified copy of Academic Certificates and Transcript
 Original AND a copy of NRIC / Passport
 Original AND a copy of Job confirmation letter from your employer, if stated in
the programme’s entry requirements.
 Two (2)copies of completed UKR 19 Form
 Proposal outline for Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy programmes
(by research) only.

2. Fees for registration.


 The following Processing Fee will be charged and debited into your account
after registration:
o RM30/- Undergraduate programmes
o RM50/- Postgraduate programmes
o RM100/- for International learners

2. COURSE REGISTRATION

You are required to register for at least one (1) course and a maximum of three (3) courses in a semester.
Please select the course(s) UKR19.

3. FEES

a. Tuition Fees for the first semester


Tuition fees vary depending on the number of courses registered in a semester.
However, total fees per semester are estimated based on three (3) courses. Refer toAPPENDIX I
and II.

b. Tuition Fees for Online Delivery


 NO discount for all courses and level of programme.

c. Fees for Transfer Credit

d. Fees for International Learners

International learners will be charged 20% more than the existing programme fees. They are
required to pay the Registration Fee amounting to RM1,000 for the first semester.

All fees incurred must be paid on ORbeforethe start of the semester.

f. Policies on Fee

i) Deferment/ Withdrawal/Quit

In the event that a learner applied to (i) defer a semester; (ii) withdraw from any course(s);
or(iii) quit from a programme, the following administrative fee will be charged.

ii) Excess of tuition fees (if any) will be carried forward to the next semester for those who defer
or withdraw. For those who quit, they will receive a refund of the excess tuition fees.

iii) If an application is made AFTER the deadline, learners will be charged the full tuition fees. *
IMPORTANT DATES can be accessed through myVLE underthe University Announcement
section.

Outstanding Fees

Outstanding fees must be paidbefore the end of Semester (refer to Academic Calendar)
Learners with outstanding fees owing to the university can sit for the Final Examination but will
not be able to view the result.

g. Discounts/Promotion

The following discounts are applicable to those who fulfil the terms and conditions stipulated by
the university:

i. Discount on tuition fees for 1st semester – 10% (intake January 2018)
Learners are eligible for this discount for 1st semester only.

ii. ALUMNI Discount (5%)


ALUMNI members are eligible for 5% discount on tuition fee
- Applicable to all alumni of OUM, IOC & IPD.
- Discount will be applicable in the semester that the learner is active.
- Discount is not valid for second time registration/repeat subject.

iii. Discount for Physically Disabled and Senior Citizens
This discount is applicable to:

- Those who are:


i. 60years and above on the registration date – 50% discount on Tuition Fee
ii. Physically disabled learners or “Orang KelainanUpaya” (OKU) – 50% discount on
Tuition Fee
* Please present your “OKU Card” at the registration counter.

Note:
Discountsare forsubject fees only, research and other fees are excluded.
Discounts are not valid for second time registration/repeat subject
Learners who enjoyed the above fee discount are not entitled for further
discounts/promotion.

v. Any other promotion offered during the registration period.

h. Financing

 Employee Provident Fund (EPF)


Learners may withdraw savings from their EPF (Account 2) to pay their fees. For your
information, the University’s Centre for Learner Affairs and Alumnican assists learners by
providing Letter of Admission and Letter of Confirmation of Registration for EPF
withdrawal.Learners may request the documents via eCRM.

Should you need further clarifications on all of the above, please contact the learning centre
stated in your Letter of Admission or call 03-2773 2002.
