7TH INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP

NDT IN PROGRESS:
NDT of Lightweight Materials
ND T in Pro g res s 2013

The 7th International Workshop NDT in Progress 2013, a bien-

nial event established in 2001, will be organized by Fraunhofer
IZFP and CNDT this year. The primary aim of these workshops is
the meeting of NDT world experts and discussion of the latest
state-of-the-art in NDT research and development in selected
areas. Parties interested are invited to contribute to discussions
through their oral and/or poster presentations. Besides skilled
experts exchanging their views the workshop also intends to
address young researchers and even students inviting them to
present their latest findings, making the workshop an excep-
tional platform in disseminating latest experience made within
the NDT/NDE field.

Further Events
This year the NDT in Progress workshop will directly follow the
6th Dresden Airport Seminar, a prestigious information sharing
event for NDE and SHM in Aeronautics. Do not miss this bundle
of significant events due to be run along a single week and at
very adjacent places. Take the opportunity to visit the Dresden
branch of Fraunhofer IZFP, one of the largest institutes for NDT
worldwide. We are looking forward to welcoming you.

Event In fo rmati o n

This year NDT in Progress will be focused (but not restricted)

to NDT of lightweight materials. The basic topics are
methods based on elastic waves, nonlinear methods and inverse
problems, electromagnetic and radiographic methods, optical
methods, image and signal processing, numerical simulations in
NDT, automated NDT systems and data processing, SHM.

Additional Programs and Accompanying Events

From November 5-6, 2013 also the Dresden Airport Seminar will
take place. Participants can join both events at a reduced regis-
tration fee. Cultural and social evenings on November 5 and 7,
with special events, guest speakers and discussions are planned.
All participants and accompanying persons are cordially invited.

Authors wishing to contribute to the workshop are requested

to submit an abstract in English (app. 500 words) by e-mail
(conference@izfp-d.fraunhofer.de). A simultaneous submission of
the preregistration form and the abstract is appreciated. Please
remember the deadline – August 11, 2013. You can download
an abstract form on the conference website (http://cndt.cz/
ndt_in_progress2013/).

Papers for oral presentation will be chosen by session leaders.

Authors of papers for poster presentation will have the possibility
of a short talk. Authors will be notified of the acceptance of their
abstracts and presentations in August 2013. After receiving
the personal invitation it is necessary to send the manuscript
(electronic version) to the organizing committee until September
22, 2013. Contact person is Dr. Frank Schubert (conference@
izfp-d.fraunhofer.de). On the conference website you will receive
a sample manuscript showing specifications and style.

Full version of papers will be published on a conference CD.

Printed proceedings will be offered for publishing in the Thomp-
son Reuters database and selected papers will be offered for
publishing in scientific NDT journals.

The conference fee includes all technical sessions, evening events

as well as lunches and coffee breaks. A valid student ID must be
presented at registration for reduced fee; otherwise, full fee will
be charged (400 / 450 € respectively 560 / 580 €).

Deadline for Payment

The payment of the registration fees has to be done by
November 1, 2013 (receipt of payment).

Cancellation
Until September 29, 2013: 50 €
Until October 25, 2013: 50% of the participation fee
From October 26, 2013: no refund possible

Confirmation
Upon receipt of your registration, we will send you a confir-
mation by e-mail. The confirmation e-mail will be sent to the
e-mail address that you have provided with the registration
form. Therefore, please make sure you have provided the
correct e-mail address.

VAT
All fees VAT-exempt (§ 4 UStG/German VAT Act.)
