1. Baseball Bat Belonging to Roger BADDELL
Q1. Cotton swab containing blood from baseball bat belonging to
BADDELL located near “Derek Jeter” signature on barrel
Q2. Cotton swab containing blood from baseball bat belonging to
BADDELL located near “Slugger Series” on barrel

The above evidence was obtained on 10/31/17 at 9:47am from Property Control.

Conclusions:

1. Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) was isolated from the known blood sample from Roger
BADDELL (Item K1), the known blood sample from Tom SHADY (Item K2), the known blood
sample from Gazelle BUNCHKIN (Item K3), the cotton swab containing blood from baseball bat
belonging to BADDELL located near “Derek Jeter” signature on barrel (Item Q1), and the cotton
swab containing blood from baseball bat belonging to BADDELL located near “Slugger Series”
on barrel (Item Q2). The DNA samples were amplified using polymerase chain reaction (PCR).
The DNA was typed for amelogenin and short tandem repeat (STR) loci CSF1PO, FGA, THO1,
TPOX, vWA, D3S1358, D5S818, D7S820, D8S1179, D13S317, D16S539, D18S51, and
D21S11 using Geneprint 24.

3. The DNA profile obtained from the cotton swab containing blood from baseball bat belonging
to BADDELL located near “Derek Jeter” signature on barrel (Item Q1), and the cotton swab
containing blood from baseball bat belonging to BADDELL located near “Slugger Series” on
barrel (Item Q2) matched each other, and also matched the known blood sample from Tom
SHADY (Item K2). The profiles matched at amelogenin, and genetic loci CSF1PO, FGA, THO1,
TPOX, vWA, D3S1358, D5S818, D7S820, D8S1179, D13S317, D16S539, D18S51, and
D21S11.

The probability that a random unrelated individual would display the same combination of alleles
is 1 in 40 quadrillion in the caucasian population.

4. The known sample from Roger BADDELL (Item K1) and the known sample from Gazelle
BUNCHKIN (Item K3) can be excluded from the bloodlift samples (Items Q1 and Q2).

5. The cotton swab containing blood from baseball bat belonging to BADDELL located near
“Derek Jeter” signature on barrel (Item Q1), and the cotton swab containing blood from baseball
bat belonging to BADDELL located near “Slugger Series” on barrel (Item Q2) are maintained
with baseball bat belonging to Roger BADDELL (Item K1).
