MEANING OF RESEARCH METHODOLOGY:

 The process used to collect information and data for the purpose of making business
decisions. The methodology may include publication research, interviews, surveys and
other research techniques, and could include both present and historical information.

 A research method is a systematic plan for conducting research. Sociologists draw on


a variety of both qualitative and quantitative research methods, including
experiments, survey research, participant observation, and secondary data. Quantitative
methods aim to classify features, count them, and create statistical models to test
hypotheses and explain observations. Qualitative methods aim for a complete, detailed
description of observations, including the context of events and circumstances.

According to Clifford woody research comprises defining and redefining problems,


formulating hypothesis or suggested solutions: Collecting, Organising and Evaluating data
Making deductions and reaching conclusions and at last carefully testing the conclusions to
determine whether they fit the formulating hypothesis.

 The research design used in this project is analytical in nature the procedure using,
which the researcher has to use facts or information already available, and analyse these
to make a critical evaluation of the performance.
 To analyse the job satisfaction of the employees.

 PRIMARY SOURCES:
 Questionnaire was used to collect primary data.
 Direct personnel interview and discussion conducted with few employees of the
company.

 SECONDARY SOURCES :

 Data are collected from the company’s website.


 Books and journals pertaining to the topic.

SAMPLING PLAN:

POPULATION:
 All the employees of the company.

SAMPLE UNIT:
 The employees of the company residing within the Chennai city.

SAMPLE SIZE:
 Survey will be made with 96 people as sample size. It will include employees, managers
of the company.

 Non-probability sampling
 Convenience sampling
