 Stage 1: Going on a trip (1st week)
Go to unit 1.4. Going on a trip in the Knowledge environment and develop
the following activities:

a. Post the indicated activities (pronunciation and Writing) from the unit in the forum.

Hi Mum,
John and I had a wonderful time here in Ireland. Every day we got up early and went for a
long walk in the country. When we returned we usually had a very big Irish breakfast
which normally consisted of two eggs, three slices of bacon, toast and jam. We usually
ordered a cup of coffee after breakfast: Colombian coffee, of course.
After breakfast we sometimes went swimming in the river. We often met children who
liked to swim there. They were very nice. At night we nearly always drank a few pints of
Guinness in the pubs bar before we went to bed. We always slept well after that, I can
assure you.

b. Write a short note in the forum telling what you did last vacation/holidays/weekend.
On my last vacations I traveled to Santa Marta with my family, we traveled on January 21
we stayed there 3 days. We Arrived in the evening and we cheked our reservation at the
hotel, then we went to the sea, my cousin Valentina and I played in the beach and then we
ate fish at the hotel, everything was wonderful in Santa Marta, the weather was very hot
and it was terrific because in my home town the weather is so cold. We stayed in Santa
Marta three days, it was a fantastic experience.

Problem 2: What should people do when it is sunny?

Solution: When it is sunny, it is necessary that people go to walk.

Problem 3: What should you do when it is windy?

Solution: When it is windy, it is advisable that you not use an umbrella.

Problem 4: What should city officials do when a hurricane is coming?

Solution: When a hurricane is coming, it is important that city officials inform people to
stay at home.

Problem 5: What should we do when there is a blizzard?

Solution: When there is a blizzard, it is essential that we not go to school or work.

The weather in Santa Marta presents three types of seasons. When it is summer, it is
usually warm and sunny, but when it is winter, it is cloudy and breeze.

Example: It is recommended that people wear an umbrella in Bogotá.

1. You should look for a cheap or expensive hotel on internet

2. You must book your reservation before to travel

3. You should find out about the place which you will travel

4. You have to pack your bags with enough time

5. If you are going to travel by car or by bus you must check the braces of the car

6. If you are going to travel abroad you must do the necessary documents
