Introduction

I have been student who has been active from elementary school until graduated
from high school in 2011. After high school graduation I had plan to continue to
university to improve my knowledge and education level. Unfortunately my family
did not support me and I eventually had to work.
My first job was the Warnet Operator, from where I deepened my computer
knowledge: Microsoft Office programs, internet usage and even some graphic
designs like Photoshop and Corel Draw and also video editors like YouTube and
NCH programs.
I have experiences working in a machinery manufacture and assembly named CV
Eagle Machinery Indonesia in Tangerang. I have joined them as warehouse staff on
August 2012 and improved my career quite fast in this company, I became an Admin
in my third month and became a secretary few months after that until I quit on
February 2016.
I have done some courses on Coursera (www.coursera.com). I took some English
and Office Management Classes that was suit able to my job at thatmoment. Now, I
have 28 certificates in total in my Coursera account.I don’t want to stop to take other
courses.
I am also active in some forum; SisterNet and Coffee Chat @america. I love sharing
stories, experiences and knowledge in the forums and to people around me.
Now I work as marketing assistant and graphic designer for some restaurants.
Besides, I also accept freelance job as graphic designer and writing content as well
as translating English to Bahasa Indonesia.

3
Problem Statement

People say, experience is the best teacher. In the profesional world though we need
formal certificate that shows our degree and most of companies (specially in
Indonesia) usually will find having the degree crucial for potential acceptance for
employment.
Some people do not have degree not because they do not want it. Especially in my
case, I have financial problems. My parents have no job and I know they can not
afford to pay my education. Since I was 2 years old, I am living with my uncle’s
family. They are the ones who take responsibility for me until I am 14 years old.
I am aware that education is important. Even though knowledge is not always in the
classroom, but the formal education (certificate of degree) is the important proof.
I aim to increase my education to S1 (undergraduate) this year. I am sure it will
improve my skills, knowledge, network and this will also affect and influence people
around me. And I hope with my skills, knowledge and network, I can do something
meaningful for this world.
From the description above it can be concluded that education is very important to
achieve a brighter future and also support the development of reliable and
intellectual human resources; so to achieve it I intend to make a Proposal for the
Application of Education Fund Assistance, as a reference to any parties.

4
