In my time working with students, I have gained an appreciation for helping them achieve their full potential. I focus my practice as an
Educator and Counselor on contextualizing a student’s experience, making meaning of their unique improvements and challenges, and
examining the intersection of students’ identities to inform our work together. As a flexible problem-solver, I ensure that my students have
access to the resources they need while also building self-efficacy and agency to find their own solutions.

• Qualitatively analyzed interview data for colleague’s Doctoral Thesis on “Issues Facing Leadership in Higher Education”
Research Assistant, Hasbro Children’s Hospital Emergency Department, Providence, RI 2013-2015
• Screened and recruited adolescent patients in the ED to improve text-message based intervention to prevent depression in teens
• Analyzed and coded interview results using NVivo and combined these qualitative results with the quantitative survey data
Research Assistant, UMass Medical School Summer 2013
• Aided in performing research on mice with Diet-Induced Obesity and Type II Diabetes using Gel Electrophoresis
• Helped conduct glucose intolerance and insulin tests on mice, and dissect mice and then collect samples for further analysis
