Most Afghans ate bilingual and know both Dari and Pashto, Dar isan Indo-European language and uses the same alphabet as Arabic, “The Afghan government used Dari and Pashto for oficial transactions and business. Dar lost its importance after the Taliban took over Kabul it 1996, as the Taliban were mostly Pashto speakers. The interim government ‘of Hamid Karzai tat replaced the Taliban in December 2001 promotes both languages asthe official Ianguages of Afghanistan Dar is spoken by more than $0 percent of the total 22 million Afghans, and it is understood by over 90 percent of the population.
