O most Holy virgin, who was chosen by the Adorable Trinity from
all eternity, to be the most pure mother of Jesus, permit us thy
devoted children, to remind thee of the joy thou didst receive in
the instant of the most sacred incarnation of our Divine Lord, and
during the nine months thou didst carry Him in thy chaste womb.
We salute thee, O ever blessed virgin Mother of God. Abyss of
Grace, and Miracle of Almighty Power. We salute thee, O
sanctuary of the most Holy Trinity, Queen of the Universe, and
refuge of sinners. We salute thee, O ever faithful virgin. Mirror of
sanctity, Mother of mercy and our Mother. Attracted by thy
maternal tenderness, and confiding in thy never-failing
meditation, we cast ourselves at thy feet, and implore of thee to
obtain for us, of thy dear son, the grant of the favour we ask in

perpetual homage thou they self render to the Divinity on our
altars. Most amiable Heart, which has loved us with an eternal
love, supply they self for my insensibility, and

so justly merits. But remember, O adorable heart! That thou hast
not disclosed thy self to us only as an object of our adoration.
Thou desirest much more to engage our love, and to become the
ground and motive of our tender confidence. For this end, thou
wast pierced through with a lance on the cross; and for the same
purpose thou remainest a daily victim of thy own love on our
altars. O infinitely compassionate Hearts of Jesus, overwhelmed
with sorrow in the garden of Olives, at the view of our spiritual
and corporal miseries, I recure to thee now with all the
confidence thou desirest I should repose in the extent of thy
power and the riches of thy mercy. Convinced that those things
which are impossible to human means are infinitely easy to thee,
