Door Bell Ringer Circuit

ABSTRACT:
Doorbell is a very common and useful device used
in every household. Among electronics students and
hobbyists, doorbell circuit project is quite popular.

In this circuit the doorbell is built with IC 555 timer. The

main feature of this doorbell is that we can control the
time duration for which it keeps ringing upon pressing the
switch.
Also, we can control the oscillation frequency of “doorbell
sound” sound produced by the Doorbell (Here we are
using Buzzer as bell to illustrate).

ringing
continuously with
particular
frequency.
Ltspice simulations

The graph shows output of particular

circuit for various values of R1.
As value of R1 increases ant ring
duration increases.

BreadBoard simulation
Kicad
➔ Step1: make schematic

● my(J2,J3) are connector

made for connecting output
and potentiometer.
● 2pin(J1) is made for input .
● PWR FLAG denotes
external supply
Kicad
➔ Generate netlist
➔ Run cvpcb
➔ Match the foot prints
➔ We can view the components in 3d viewer
Kicad

➔ Go to pcb layout
➔ Place the components by reading the
net list
➔ Arrange them
➔ Export dsn file and go for free routing
by removing back copper as we are
doing single layer pcb
Kicad - Autorouting

Kicad

➔ After autorouting export

spectrasessionfile(.ssn)
➔ Import that file in kicad pcb layout
➔ Print the front copper part in glossy
sheet
MAKING PCB

➔ Take copper board(plated one side) of

required dimension clean it properly.
➔ After taking print out of layout transfer it on
copper board by applying heat( by iron box )
and wash with water.
➔ If the layout is transferred completely proceed
for the next step.for minor error we can use
whitener.
➔ Otherwise clean the transferred layout(printer
ink )with acetone and repeat the process.
➔ After that make solution of HCl(30% 10 ml),
H2O2(10 ml) and 30 ml of water.
➔ Placed the PCB in the solution prepared
above and wait until Copper is gone in
unwanted parts.
PCB Etching
After Etching

● Without removing ink.

➔ After removing ink(cleaning
with acetone).
Drilling and Soldering

➔ Drilled by 0.8mm drill bit ➔ Soldering

After Soldering
Incorrectly Soldered board and properly
soldered board
OUTPUT

● When push button pressed

● Oscillation
