1. PRECAUTIONS
Don’t install the crane scale in direct sunlight.
Avoid sudden temperature changes, vibration, wind and water.
Avoid sudden and jerky acceleration of the load.
Avoid heavy RF noise.
Load the balance only in vertical traction direction.
Make sure that there never are persons or objects under the load which
could be injured or damaged.
The balance is not suitable for weighing for persons.

2. INSTALLATION
When you receive the scale, inspect it to make sure that it is not damaged and
that all parts are included:
Remove the scale from the protective cover. Store the packaging and to
use if you need to transport the scale later.
Crane balance is only suitable for hanging from a mechanical hook.
The location must be such that the instrument is not subject to excessive
vibrations, heat or humidity.
Avoid direct sunlight on the front of the instrument.
The unit has to be installed at the right height to allow an easy reading of
the display and convenient keyboard operation.
To charge the battery insert the adaptor pin to jack. Adaptor simply plug into
the mains power. The scale no needs to be turned on.
The battery should be charged for 12 hours for full capacity.
Right side of the display there is an LED to indicate the status of battery
charging. When the scale is plugged into the mains power the internal
battery will be recharged. If the LED is green, the battery has a full charge.
If it is red, the battery is nearly discharged and if yellow, the battery is
being charged.
Do not use any other type of power adaptor than the one supplied with the
DR scale.
Verify that the AC power socket outlet is properly protected.

4. OPERATION
Initial Start –Up
Warm-up time of 15 minutes stabilizes the measured values after switching on.
1. Power ON/OFF:
Switch on the balance by pressing on/ off key.
The display is switched on and the test is started and if want to switched
off, press again the key.
2. Zero
Environmental conditions can lead to the balance exactly zero in spite of
the hook not taking any strain. However, you can set the display of your
balance to zero any time by pressing zero key and therefore ensure that
the weighing starts at zero.
3. Tare
The weight of any container can be tared by pressing tare button so that
with subsequent weighing the net weight of the object being weighed is
always displayed.
Load weight on the hook
Press tare key. Zero is displayed, and tare is subtracted.
Remove weight on the hook. Tared weight is displayed. It can set only one
tare value. It can display with a minus value.
Press tare key. Zero is displayed, tare weight is cleared.
4. Hold
If want to weigh liquid or variable item. When reading is not stable, by
pressing hold key can lock reading.
5. Overload
Avoid to adding item more than scale capacity. When display will show
–ol- , remove the item from the hook to avoid damage.
6. Auto Off
The scale can set Automatic power off. The function makes power down
when a scale is not operated by user to save battery power. It can set
different time options. For settings see the parameter F7 off.
7. Display-Back light
The scale has the option of back light. It can help to see white
background and more bright. For settings see the parameter F6 bk

When the calibration is acceptable, then the display will return to normal
weighing.
If calibration failed, make sure you have accurate calibration weights available.
Calibration weight should be at least 30% of the total capacity.
Increase the calibration weight and try again to do calibration.
6. ERROR CODES
Err 4 Zero setting error Out of the auto zero setting range
(4% of capacity). Check the hook
empty and do calibration
Err 5 Key board error Key board short, Check the key
cables, connecter and keys.
Err 17 Tare out of range Remove the weights and re start scale

8. MAINTENANCE
Cleaning
This devise does not require any routine maintenance. It may be necessary to
perform periodic checks of the calibration of the scale due to mechanical reasons.
The frequency of the checks depends on the conditions to use.
Make sure load cell is proper tightened with the hook and loop.
Check the connectors are connected proper.
Check the battery and leads.
Check the keys for any physical damage.
Check the PCB
Check the load cell
If any component damaged replace it.
