This podcast was very relevant to my inquiry topic because Chris Hauth provided a way

more than I thought I would even though it was a casual conversation/interview between him and
Rich Roll. I learned that in order to get the most out of your body, you need to just listen to it.
You have to recognize when it needs sleep, good nutrition, time to recover, etc. One analogy
Hauth used towards the end of the podcast referred to our bodies as building a house. First you
have to clear the lot and establish a firm foundation. Once you establish the firm foundation such
as good training habits and nutrition, you begin to build yourself up, brick by brick. I also
learned that consistency is key. Good nutrition on a daily basis along with the right balance of
endurance fitness and interval and strength training will help you to reach your ideal body
composition. It may take time, but you have to be patient and "trust the process". He also
emphasized working at your own pace, meaning you should train where you are now, not where
you want to be or where you used to be. To sum up the whole podcast, you basically just need to
learn your body and what signals it is trying to give you because that will help you maximize
