RESOURCE DESCRIPTION
Give a brief description of the technology/resource.
This is easily downloaded onto the computer and works well with a PowerPoint presentation. The recorder allows you to put a
box around the individual slide and start recording what you need to say about that slide and transitioning into the next slide is
not disruptive; simply hit the down arrow and it will allow you to keep talking and move on to the next slide. When you are done
it allows you to review and save.

How might you use this resource to promote student learning? Describe who will be doing the screen casting – you or your
students, and what purpose it will serve.
I fell the screen casting is beneficial for both student and teacher. The teacher can use it for relaying information on assignments
if they are out sick, or if a student is out sick they can see and hear what was missed in class. It can work for students because
when they create their PowerPoint they can record their speech and submit their assignment regardless of where they are.

 Explain your rating based on the indicators on the rubric.
I would rate it a 1 on the scale. At the end of the day it is only a recording machine that can only be layered over a
PowerPoint, and here aren’t any tools that let you highlight as you are speaking. It is great for giving instructions, but the
information could easily be read in an email.
