ASSESSMENT MAP

Entry-Level Formative Summative

Journal – Using your art journal, identify the


techniques that you used in your pieces. Do
you feel that they are up to portfolio standard?
Project Plan – In art journal, identify the
goal of your completed portfolio, how you
will achieve this goal, and provide
deadlines for yourself.

Group Observation – hold small group


critiques to discuss portfolio completion,
small suggestions for improvement. Turn
in group notes.

Teacher Conference – have a progress


meeting with me to determine any issues
that have come up during your portfolio
and how far you are from completing your
project.

Peer Feedback – we will hold a soft class


critique on one artwork that is particularly
difficult for you to receive a class
response on the project and receive
helpful criticism and ideas.

Portfolio – Accumulate your five


artworks into a portfolio with
photographs of the works prior to
their improvement. Your portfolio
must include a resume of your
artistic background with an
objective.

Presentation – create a
presentation for the class that is
between 3-5 minutes long in which
you show us images from your
portfolio and discuss the challenges
of creating and improving these
pieces and why you chose them.
