5 Most Unique Teachings Of The

Holy Quran
The Holy Quran is the 4th and Last Heavenly Book of Allah SWT that He
revealed upon His Final Messenger, Hazrat Muhammad ‫ ﷺ‬in the early
7th Century A.D. Those who believe in this Sacred Manuscript are
generally known as Muslims. This Heavenly Volume is highly unique in
its contents and teachings, as the Almighty Lord says:
“And if you are in doubt about what We have sent down upon Our Servant
[Muhammad], then produce a surah the like thereof and call upon your witnesses
other than Allah, if you should be truthful.” [Quran, 2: 23]
As, the non believers of Makkah used to ridicule and doubt the Quranic
Verses that is why the Creator of the universe addresses them in the
above stated Ayah that if they do not believe in its Heavenly Nature,
then they should try at least to generate anything closer to it
themselves.

In this day and age, Muslims all over the world are mistakenly
associated with extremism through actions of a group of people who
portray themselves as followers of Islam and by wrongly interpreting
certain verses of this Blessed Book. When in fact, Quran is a highly
moderate and well balanced Scripture covering all the issues of human
life, answering many problems and preaching about common well
being of mankind. The need of the hour is to read the entire Furqan e
Hameed in order to comprehend its Message in the most rightful way.
By doing so, one would come to know that the knowledge present in
this Consecrated Reserve can be applied to any era.

Following are 5 most unique Instructions in the Holy Quran which every
person no matter what religion it belongs to, should be acquainted with
so as to understand its universality:

i) Encouraging Meditation And Thinking

The opponents of the Religion of Peace say that it suppresses its
followers from having freedom of speech. Even our own religious status
quo has played a key role in damaging the true picture of Islam by
depicting it as strict in all matters. But in reality, Allah SWT urges
everyone to use their conscious, think about the world around
themselves and take control of their own issues.

“Indeed, the worst of living creatures in the sight of Allah are the deaf and dumb
who do not use reason.” [Quran, 8: 22]
It can be observed from above verse that the Almighty Lord has
emphasized on using one`s reasoning in all issues and those who do
not use their perception have been regarded as being deaf and dumb.
On another occasion, the Most Gracious says:

“And do not pursue that of which you have no knowledge. Indeed, the hearing, the
sight and the heart – about all those [one] will be questioned.” [Quran, 17: 36]
In the above mentioned Quranic Verse, Allah SWT directs every
individual to use its senses of hearing, seeing and inner thoughts etc.
and not to take everything as true without first having done a concrete
research about its authenticity.

ii) Not To Blindly Follow Every Prevailing Idea

The applicability of the instructions of Furqan e Hameed in every walk
of life can be observed from its subsequent Ayah:

“O you who have believed, indeed many of the scholars and the monks devour the
wealth of people unjustly and avert [them] from the way of Allah. And those who
hoard gold and silver and spend it not in the way of Allah – give them tidings of a
painful punishment.” [Quran, 9: 34]
Even many so called Muslims Mullas and Islamic Scholars mislead their
followers by making them blindly follow Quranic and Prophetic ‫ﷺ‬
traditions without considering its true perspective. The thing is not to
take every existing social or religious viewpoint as granted but to use
one`s own conscious to understand religion better.

“And they will say, “Our Lord, indeed we obeyed our masters and our dignitaries,
and they led us astray from the [right] way.” [Quran, 33: 67]
It means that everyone is responsible for its own thinking and actions
in the hereafter and no excuse of being mislead on earth by the
majority would save a person from punishment.

iii) Promoting Social Equality and Justice

The Holy Quran does not only talk about religious matters, but also
gives a complete guide on making and maintain social fairness and
impartiality in all matters no matter what cost one has to bear for it.

“O you, who have believed, be persistently standing firm in justice, witnesses for
Allah, even if it be against yourselves or parents and relatives. Whether one is rich
or poor, Allah is more worthy of both. So follow not [personal] inclination, lest you
not be just. And if you distort [your testimony] or refuse [to give it], then indeed
Allah is ever, with what you do, Acquainted.” [Quran, 4: 135]
Allah SWT has devised a proportionate societal set up in this Ayah
Kareema but directing everyone to do its best in giving others their due
rights even one has to take decisions against its own family in this
regard.

iv) Accompanying Islamic Belief with Action

The basic theme behind raising Prophets among nations from
beginning of the time on earth had always been to give people a basic
framework of accomplishment of the religious beliefs. If it was not so,
the Almighty Lord would have directly sent His Revelations to
inhabitants of the world but that would not serve a purpose well.
Hazrat Muhammad ‫ ﷺ‬acted as an epitome of the rightful way of
achieving the true sense of the Islamic convictions like patience,
moderation, thankfulness, and manners etc.

“Do the people think that they will be left to say, “We believe” and they will not be
tried?” [Quran, 29: 2]
The above mentioned Quranic Ayah clearly points toward the notion of
realizing one`s religious principles through its deeds and remaining
steadfast on them in any case.

v) Anyone Can Attain The Path of True Righteousness

The Revered Manuscript of Quran does not discriminate among the
appreciators and achievers of goodness.

“And those who strive for Us – We will surely guide them to Our ways. And indeed,
Allah is with the doers of good.” [Quran, 29: 69]
It shows that Furqan e Hameed treats the upright people alike no
matter what religious beliefs they have. It is very well possible that
Allah SWT gives Hidayah (His Guidance) to anyone He likes which may
result in that righteous person`s acceptance of Islam.

In short, the Holy Quran is not just a Book that talks about religious
ideas but a lot more than that. Everyone particularly Muslims
should learn and read to understand the Holy Quran because it gives
guidelines to succeed in all walks of life and helps its readers to
become conscious of its actual duties and responsibilities in worldly
life.

Core Teachings of Prophet Muhammad

Classical scholars of Islam have condensed the teachings of Prophet Muhammad
into a few statements. These comprehensive statements touch every aspect of our
lives. Some of them are:

2) God is Pure and does not accept anything unless it is pure and God has
commanded the faithful with what He commanded the prophets.

3) Part of a person’s good observance of Islam is to leave aside what does not
concern him.
4) A person cannot be a complete believer unless he loves for his brother what
he loves for himself.

5) One should not harm himself or others.

6) Don’t let your focus in this life be to amass worldly gain and God will love you.
Don’t be concerned with what people have, and they will love you.
