Topic: Air and water pollution

In our country, Paraguay, pollution is causing health issues, farming issues, and death. There are
9 million deaths caused by pollution each year globally. This problem needs to be fixed because it affects
the health of every person. One way we can prevent this is through the burning of biofuels and less use of
oil. A second problem in Paraguay is indoor pollution, mainly due to cooking. A solution to this indoor
pollution could be supplying the citizens with electric cooking appliances and solar panels to power them.
Water pollution is a problem as well in Paraguay and could be fixed by reducing, reusing, and recycling
the waste that is going into our rivers, thus leading to a decrease in crop yield and quality. The countries
that are trading their goods with Paraguay’s soybeans could become an international problem if our crops
are contaminated by pollution. A way that they can raise their crop yield is by filtering the toxic waste
out of the water supply.
