Pedagogy Activity Describe what the learning
activity will be. What will the students and
the teacher be doing? (This includes what
they are doing with the technology).
Having had enough experience writing individual
sentences, this lesson will focus on how sentences
can be put together to make a paragraph. This
activity is designed to teach students how to prepare
to write a cohesive paragraph by using a
brainstorming program. The students will use
bubbl.us to create a brain web that tells us three
facts about them. The web will include in the center
bubble “three things about (student’s name)”
followed by three bubbles that include:
• Their favorite color
• Their favorite food
• Their favorite activity
All written in complete sentences.

1. Open up Google Chrome by double clicking on the
red, yellow, and green wheel.
2. In the address bar at the top of the page type
https://bubbl.us
3. Click on the blue sign in button in the center of
the screen.
4. Type in your school email in username field and
your school password in the password field.
5. Click the green new map button underneath the
words Mind Map.
6. In the yellow bubble that says “start here” double
click on it and type in “Three things about (Your
Name).
7. Click on the yellow part of the bubble you just
typed in and click on the blue plus sign underneath
the yellow bubble.
8. Now type in you sentence saying what your
favorite color is.
9. After you write your first bubble click back on your
center bubble.
10. Click the blue plus sign on the left of your
center bubble and write your sentence saying
what your favorite food is.
11. Click on your center bubble again and click on
the blue plus sign on the right.
12. In that new bubble write your sentence
telling us what your favorite thing to do is.
