RESOURCE DESCRIPTION
Give a brief description of the technology/resource.
Peardeck is a great resource for presentation. It is different than your average google slides or prezi, because pear-deck
allows for student collaboration and interaction. You can either create a presentation in pear-deck or you can take an
existing presentation file and upload it into peardeck. Once you have you presentation in peardeck you can make it
available to your students and they can take your presentation with them, mark it, write notes, and follow along. This
makes a useless presentation of how much you know into a learning tool to foster continual learning.

INTEGRATION IDEA - PRESENTATION

How might you use this resource in a lesson plan to promote students’ presentation/speaking/communication skills?

Students can use this when you need to present information, but it is also very useful when students use I themselves to
present their own research and findings. Students can use these to help them learn to present and communicate
information and concepts, but because this is a collaboration tool it helps them in their interpersonal skills as well.

• aligns to content standards • aligns to content standards • aligns to content standards
• transforms a lesson in a way that would be impossible or • enhances a lesson; likely to increase • serves as a nice supplement to a lesson
very difficult without it; very likely to increase student student engagement and support but wouldn’t necessarily play a critical
engagement and contribute to mastery of the concept(s) mastery of the concept(s) role within the lesson
• optimal in a student-centered environment where students • will most likely be used by the students • will most likely be used by the teacher
are active and engaged in learning content directly during a lesson (e.g., a demonstration)
VALUE-ADDED EXPLANATION
Based on the “value-added rating scale” above, how would you rate the technology integration you described, using the selected
resource?

Explain your rating based on the rubric indicators.

3. I would rate this at a three because, because of the key word transform. This kind of tool definitely transforms a lesson
into a collaborative lesson between student and student and student and teacher. Which could not be possible without
the use of this tool.
