beforehand, as that would render it eternal and the universe is not
eternal to the past. In fact, one big argument is that since there was
no time, space or matter, there could be no cause -- because there
was no time. So certainly if physicists are conceding there was no
time,space & matter, there certainly wasn't any matter either.
