ABSTRACT

In this laboratory we will see the reactions of Sodium, Sulphur, Calcium and Magnesium
with oxygen and water. We will analyze them and recognize what are the components formed
after we made them react. Also we will name them and show the final formula of the
compounds we created taking into account the theory seen in class.

THEORETICAL FRAMEWORK used outside Colombia, but we are still

using it so it is important to learn them all.

Nomenclature

Was born because of the needs of the

community to name and with those names
describe the way the new components that
they are created are formed. There is also
a need to make the nomenclature simple

There are 3 ways that you can name a
compound and they are all correct. This
are the IUPAC, systematic and the stock.
