Threshold Limit Value
TLV for mineral oil mist is 5mg/m3 for a daily 8-hour exposure.

Effects of Overexposure
Eyes: Expected to cause no more than minor eye irritation. Oral: Expected
to have slight acute toxicity by ingestion. Inhalation: Expected to have
slight acute toxicity by inhalation. Skin: Prolonged or repeated skin
contact may be harmful.
Emergency & First Aid Procedures
Eyes: Flush eyes immediately with fresh water for at least 15 minutes while
holding the eyelids open. If irritation persists, consult physician.
Skin: Remove heavily contaminated clothing and wash skin thoroughly with
soap and water. DO NOT use solvents or thinners to remove materials from
skin. Asphalt can be removed with vegetable oil or mineral oil.
Oral: If swallowed and person is conscious, give water or milk. Consult
physician before inducing vomiting. If advice cannot be obtained, take
person and container to nearest emergency treatment center. Never give
anything by mouth to an unconscious person.
Inhalation: Move the person to fresh air.
SECTION VI – PRECAUTIONS FOR SAFE HANDLING AND USE
Steps to Be Taken In Case Material Is Released or Spilt
Remove all sources of ignition, ventilate. Avoid breathing vapors and
remove with inert absorbent.
Waste Disposal Method
Do not puncture or incinerate containers. Give to a disposal service
equipped to safely handle and dispose of pressurized containers.
Precautions to Be Taken in Handling and Storing
Keep at room temperature as exposure to direct sunlight or other heat may
cause bursting. Do not store above 50C.
Other Precautions
Do not puncture or incinerate. Do not spray near fire or open flame. Keep
away from children. Read entire label before using.
SECTION VII – CONTROL MEASURES
Respiratory Protection (Specify Type)
Use NIOSH approved respirator if TLV limit is exceeded.
