ACTIVITY 2: FLASH CARD

This activity allow student to know and learn about area and perimeter more effectively by

using the latest technology. This activity requires a student to explain the question given in

front of his/her friends.

Objective: To make sure the student understand about the topic of area and perimeter

in mathematics that has been they learn before the final exam.

Materials needed

 Flash Card

 Laptop/computer

 Projector

 Whiteboard

 Marker Pen

Step by step on how to do this activity on the classroom:

1. The teacher need to prepare and set up all the material needed for this activity.

2. The teacher need to make sure all the student sit at their table and make sure they

have their laptop/computer that has been installed with GSP application during the

session.

3. The flash that prepared need to give to the students. (Please be note that only 1 flash

card should be given to one student)

*each of flashcard contain of different shape with different measurement.

4. The teacher will start to guide the student to open GSP application.
5. The teacher should start with an example where the teacher take one of the flashcard

and show what is the step should the students follow.

6. After the teacher show the example, the teacher will discuss about the question more

details and will use whiteboard and marker pen to explain about the topic.

7. After that, the teacher will ask the student to try and do within 30 minutes using their

flash card that has been given before .

8. The teacher should go around to make sure all the students do their work and ask

students to raise their hand if they has any problem.

9. After 30 minutes, the teacher will pick up 7 of the student randomly and tell them to

show at the front using teacher’s laptop how did they do their question at their flash

card.

10. After the student done show their flash card the teacher will discuss the topic more

details.

11. Step 9 and 10 should be repeat to the next students.

12. After the 7 student finish, the teacher will repeat to pick up more 7 student that have

not show their flash card to the next classes until all the students finish.
