Document V1.00.00
1. General
These release notes describe general information concerning the installation of DTMs, their
compatibility with FDT Frame applications, and known issues and workarounds.
Details on platform compatibility can be found in the folder "Technical Information" on the
FieldCare DVD.
Information to identify DTMs can be found within this document, as well as device
configuration and device specific specialties.

3. Installation
This installation contains the following DTM setup(s):
DTM library 2.44.00
- HART DTM library
- FOUNDATION DTM library
- PROFIBUS DTM library
- Modbus DTM library
- EtherNet/IP DTM library
- CDI DTM library
- PCP DTM library
- IPC DTM library
BasicDTM FOUNDATION fieldbus 2.43.00
Flow (ISS) DTM library 3.27.00
The Setup of the Single DTM library contains above listed DTM libraries. During
installation this new setup enables the ability to select measuring methods,
protocols and single/multiple device DTMs. The following screenshot shows as an
example this selection of the setup:
Document V1.00.00
4. FDT Version
The DTMs are compatible to interface specification FDT 1.2 including addendum.
5. Frame Applications
The DTMs are released for:
FieldCare V2.11.zz
DeviceCare V1.02.zz
PACTware V5.0 (1)
Yokogawa PRM R3.30 (1)
Honeywell FDM R450 (1)
If these DTMs are used in combination with a different (not listed) frame application,
then Endress+Hauser cannot guarantee for their correct function.
If the DTMs need to be integrated in third party frame applications, please contact
Endress+Hauser.
6. Operation Advice
6.1. The connected device does not match to the associated DTM
When connecting online to the device the following message occurs:
Please cross check the supported software version in the DTM catalog with the version of
the device. Without the matching DTM it is not possible to connect to the device.
Document V1.00.00
Please check in the following dialog which device from which manufacturer could not be
identified (refer to the column Device type):
In the above shown dialogue you can manually assign a device by means of right clicking
and selecting it from the context menu.

7. Troubleshooting
If any problems with Endress+Hauser DTMs are encountered, please gather the
following information before contacting your local Endress+Hauser representative or
service.
7.1.1. General
Please gather the following:
Name of the frame application and it’s version; for this refer to the about box
WINDOWS version and its service pack.
In addition, please select the about box for the device from the context menu (by right
clicking on the device in the network view <Additional functions><About …>) and then
proceed with the next chapter according to the communication protocol.
7.1.2. HART
Determine the identification code in the field “Version:” of the Aboutbox, e.g.
“H/000017/0007/07020S/01045500-01040055-01040055”.
7.1.3. PROFIBUS
Determine the identification code in the field “Version:” of the Aboutbox, e.g.
“P/000017/5421/0101S/1.5.37/1.5.37006”.

After changing a unit parameter you should validate all editable parameters depending
on any unit parameter.

8. Device Configuration
For the following devices there are special remarks for their configuration.
8.1. HART
Cerabar/Deltabar For the Devices version 7.x the device version is to be set Offline
with the parameter “INSTR.&SOFTW.NO” (menu “Service”).
The following hints apply for the DTMs version V01.00 and
V02.00:
By switching the Operating Mode or the Unit, the operator has to
ensure that the dataset is still consistent. Advice: by changing
these parameters exclusively Online and performing an Upload to
DTM, the parameter set is automatically adjusted by the device
according to the specific sensor type.
Version 2.00.xx/2.10.xx: you can switch between complete and
reduced parameter set using the menu “Mode Selection”.
Following hint applies to the Deltabar M PMD55: After a reset
please use the refresh button to get all the default values.
Liquisys / Smartec If a device of either of these families hasn’t been operated for 15
minutes or a reset has been performed, the device is automatically
locked. To be able to operate these devices, first enter the unlock
code within the start page. Locked parameters are marked with a
red symbol when an edit is attempted.
The Chemoclean functionality is only operable by the local display.
Liquisys M PH If the operating mode is changed to offline and the offline view is
locked, the new operating mode is transmitted still to the device.
Liquiline M CM42 When using the simulation in the DTM, the device correctly
recognizes this and indicates “SIMU” in the display. The status
signal in the DTM header indicates “OK”, this is wrong. It should
state “Function Check”. This scenario only occurs in the Honeywell
Experion frame using devices with the firmware V20.05.00,
V10.07.00 and below. Actual firmware versions work as intended.
Promag / Promass Writing of lower case letters or special characters for the variable
„TAG“is allowed in principle while operating the device locally.
However, this is not a recommended practice.
Document V1.00.00
Micropilot M FMR2xx
Above Firmware version 5.00 both devices FMR2xx and FMR25x
are operable through following device type: “Micropilot M /
FMR25x / V5.xx”.
Tank Gauging Radar NMR8x Dev.Rev.2
After reading the histoROM data, the values will not be shown
correctly if the PC clock is not synchronous with the Device clock.
Document V1.00.00
8.2. PROFIBUS
Cerabar/Deltabar The following hints apply for the DTM version V03.00.10:
Both serial number and order code are written to the device during
a “Save/Restore” action.
Levelflex FMP5x To prevent freezing on closing DTM function like Envelope Curve,
please wait until opening/instantiating has finished completely.
Red exclamation marks can occur while configuring the offline
parameterization after adding the DTM to the project tree. To
prevent this perform an initial upload. After that, the problem will
not occur anymore even after reopening the frame application
(e.g. FieldCare).
Under rare circumstances it is possible that a OneClickPrint job
never ends on its own. In this case press the Cancel button and
restart the print job.
Liquiline M pH The following features from the device V10.03.00 are not
operable with the DTM: PCP Process Check System, SCC Sensor
Check System, Pfaudler Electrode (analog) / measuring probe.
Prowirl 77 There is a problem using the coupler Pepperl+Fuchs SK1 (release
1998 1PA.2).
Solution:
- change the coupler to SK1 1PA.93 (release 1999 or newer), SK2
or SIEMENS DP/PA Coupler
- or turn off and turn on the device
- and configure in dialog Offline Parameterization Static update to
1 (off)

8.5. DeviceCare
Licenses With the DTMs Promass 84, Promass 2-wire and Prosonic Flow B-
200 occurs a license error, while trying to connect in DeviceCare.
Prosonic S Restoring the Data, after using the Save functionality does not work
for the Prosonic S DTM. An error occurs.
Disconnect While connecting a DTM after disconnection of another DTM, the
newly connected DTM will be shown as the previously disconnected
DTM.
Devicetag A modified device tag will not be shown correctly after using the
save functionality. The old device tag is still displayed. The same
behavior occurs with the device report functionality.
