1 Introduction

Today, one of the most common problems that we face day by day
Peruvians, is the traffic that exists in our country and therefore requires
our attention, this is due to the excess of vehicles and even bad study of
impact analysis Of traffic (TIA) so this will help to provide solutions in
vehicular traffic by building or amplifying roads, so this happens often in
the province of lima as it prevents or makes it difficult for people to do their
homework, either In their work or in their home, because they spend a
good time sitting in their cars or they are public vehicles; This increase in
traffic is due to the increase in population and the ease of acquiring a
vehicle in our country.
Therefore, in the current work, two intersections were chosen, taking into
account the number of vehicles, thus generating difficulty in vehicular
traffic; For that reason a study will be carried out to know the level of
service; With simple formulas we will know the peak hour factor and the
maximum amount of vehicles that transit in the peak hour; Will also allow
us to know the sequence of phases of a period of time called the
semaphore cycle.
2 Problem Statement

The Avenue Los constructores-Flora Tristan and Huarochiri Avenue there is high
circulation of vehicles, due to this fact we proceed to study to know the problems
that may be happening in this part of the road.

In case there are problems, we will proceed to give some possible solutions to
improve the transit. To give acceptable solutions, we will use necessary formulas
and methodologies to calculate peak hour factor in the morning and afternoon.
And its exact location with google earth, geometric schematic, turning
movements, peak factor volume etc.

Therefore, perhaps the solutions are intelligent traffic lights, bypasses, blue
corridor (transport) etc.

3 Objectives

General Objectives.

The general objective of this study is to determine or to know the

condition in which the vehicular traffic is; to make an analysis or a
hypothesis of the level of service (LOS) according to the data obtained
and field work that we perform.

Specific Objectives.

 Classify vehicles according to size

 Determine the maximum volume of one hour within three hours of
counting.
 Determine the peak hour factor.
 Graph the traffic light cycle of the intersection according to the
time that these traffic lights are programmed.
4 Methodology
To perform the counting and classification of cars:
 The place was defined, in this case the intersection Flora tristan
with builders-La Molina.
 We made a count of 3 hours, we chose a peak time, 7 am - 9 pm.
 The count was made e count in intervals of 15 min to be able to
find the volume and peak hour factor.

5 Current traffic condition

5.1 Location
5.2 Geometric schematic of the intersection

This part indicates the direction in which cars goes, considering per lane. In all
intersections, we are considering that the North is located with direction to Av. Flora
Tristan.
