Turning the phone on and off

1. Press and hold the Power/Lock Key until the screen 

illuminates to power on. 
2. To turn off, press and old the Power/Lock Key until a 
prompt appears, tap “Shut Down” to turn off the 
phone. The screen will then turn black and the phone 
will be off.

Turn the ringer up, down, and on silent 

1. To turn the ringer up, press the top half of the 

“Volume Key” an on screen prompt will appear with a 
phone icon. 
2. Continue to press the top half of the volume key until 
you see the phone icon with slider appear. The slider 
will move to the right with an increase in volume. You 
can also tap and slide the slider to increase volume. 

3. To turn the ringer down or on silent, press the bottom 

half of the “Volume Key” until you see the phone icon 
pictured above. 
4. You can continue to press the bottom half of the 
“Volume Key” until the slider is to the left. The phone 
will then be on silent or “vibrate” and the phone icon 
changes to an icon like the one below.

Make or Answer a Call 
1. To make a call​: From the home screen tap, the phone 
icon in the bottom left corner of the screen.

2. A new screen will pop up, this is the dial pad. From 
here you can dial the number you wish to call. When 
you are ready to call, tap the green phone icon to 
begin the call. 

 
1. To answer a call​: When receiving a call, you will see 
this displayed on your screen. 

 
1. Tap on the green phone icon to answer the call

 2. Or tap on the red phone icon to decline the call 
 
Making or Answering a Text or Picture 
1. From the home screen, tap the messaging icon in the 
bottom left of the screen, to the right of the phone 
icon. 

2. In the messaging app, tap on the plus in the bottom 

right to compose a new text message.

3. Type your message using the keyboard, then hit the 
send arrow to send your message . If you wanted 
to send a picture, tap the paperclip icon, choose the 
image you want to send and then hit the send arrow.

Adding a New Contact 
1. Press the home button.  
a. Note: Make sure you are on the home screen. (Should look like (a) below) 
2. Tap the Apps button at the bottom of the screen. 
3. Tap the Contacts option. 
4. Tap the icon to add a new contact. (Such as (b) below) 
a. Note: If you have no contacts yet, press CREATE A NEW CONTACT. 
5. Enter contact name, phone number, and email address if applicable. 
a. Note: Press More Fields if you want to add other information for the 
contact. 
6. Tap to save the contact.

Setting an Alarm 
1. Press the clock application. 
2. Tap   
a. Note: You should get a screen like (a) below. 
3. Tap a default alarm to change it or tap at the bottom to set a new alarm. 
4. Set up alarm options like time, alarm days, and snooze. 
5. Tap SAVE to save the alarm and exit. 
a. Note: To enable or disable alarms directly, tap on the 
right side of the screen.

Calendar 
Opening the Calendar Application  
1. Press the home key. 
a. Note: Make sure you are on the home screen. 
2. Tap the Apps button at the bottom of the screen. 
a. You should get a screen like (a) below. 
3. Tap Calendar and the Calendar will pop up.

Creating an Event 
1. In any Calendar view, tap to open an event details screen for a new event. 
2. Add the details for the event.  
a. Note: For more options, tap MORE. 
3. Tap DONE to save the event. 
 
Editing or Deleting an Event 
1. Look for the event you want to edit or delete on the calendar application. 
2. Open event details. 
3. Choose either option: 
a. To edit, tap . Tap DONE to save the changes made. 
b. To delete, tap and OK.

Camera 
Taking a photo 
1. Press the home key and tap  
2. Aim the camera at the subject. 
3. Tap the area on the screen where you want the camera to focus. 
4. Lightly tap at the bottom of the screen such as in (a) below to take the photo.

Taking a video 
1. Press the home key and tap  
2. Aim the camera at the subject.  
a. Note: You can pinch in or spread your fingers on the screen to zoom in or 
out before and during recording. 
3. Tap to start recording. (Will be at the bottom of the screen such as taking a 
photo) 
a. Note: You can tap to pause or resume recording. 
4. Tap to stop recording.

Access the Internet 
Opening the Browser 
1. Open the browser by tapping from the home screen.  
2. Tap the address box at the top of the page. 
3. Enter the URL of the webpage or enter the words you desire to search for. 
a. Note: It will look like (a) below. 
4. Tap a search suggestion or to open the webpage.

Using Multiple Browser Windows 
1. Tap at the bottom of the screen and tap New window. 
2. To switch between windows, tap . 
3. Swipe vertically to scroll through the list of opened web pages.  
4. Tap the one you wish to open and view.
