How does the oppressive nature of the

United States government lead to

detrimental health condition on Native
American reservations?
Researched by Ella Rosi, Kendall Miller, Mia Czarnecki, and Noelle Wright
Thesis Statement
The oppressive nature of the United States leads to a disregard for Native American
programs on reservations, such as medical care. Because of the limited funds and
negligence from the government in relation to health care needs on reservations, the care
given is not always good quality or easily accessible, which makes it difficult for the Native
American population to get treated for serious illnesses, some aided by the stress of the
poverty and difficulty faced on reservations, all stemming from the lack of resources and
overall discrimination from a government that overlooks Native Americans needs and
oppresses their culture.
