WebQuest

Grades 10-12

Introduction
On this assignment, you will be searching for one piece of music composed in in each
early musical era. These eras include the Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and
Modern. After the completion of this WebQuest, you will then turn this assignment in to me
through blackboard.

Tasks

For this assignment you will be creating a “Prezi” presentation. In this presentation you
will start with name of the era. From here, you will create a “sub-slide” and go into more details
about that era. This will include the time frame, what kind of music was being composed at the
time, and some influential composers of the time. Finally, you will create another slide
connected to your previous two slides that entail details about the one composition piece you
chose for that particular time frame. In this slide you will include the name of the composer,
what kind of ensemble it was written for, and the year (or around the year) it was composed.
