RNC Software upgrdation & Commissioning

Preparation for BAM:

1) First change your laptop IP according to ETH2 port Active BAM: 192.168.6.50
(255.255.255.0).eg u can put it like 192.168.6.123

{In Cmd Ping 192.168.6.50 if it is pinging then this is urs active BAM otherwise try with
192.168.6.60}

2) Login in to BAM: Run>CMD> mstsc /console and open remote desktop then put the IP in
window 192.168.6.50.{as this ur Active OMU IP}

3) Login through administrator by putting 8 *1

{{BAM window opens with title 192.168.6.50.Imagine that this is some other computer (OMU
computer ) with whom u want to share data, this will be easy to understand}}

4) Change the Name of computer and SQL.

{{Just by Rt.clicking at the MY COMPUTER >PRPERTIES >Comp. Name

Comp. & SQL name should be consistent as to share the data}(u can put the name like
RNC402LEFT as we did in CALICUT(Kerala)}}
…BAM will take a restart and u have to connect again, check by pinging 192.168.6.50/60.
If any option comes for reboot In the displayed dialog box, click Yes to restart the BAM.
5) In BAM window Choose Start > Run, enter isqlw click OK. {to change SQL server name}
…………In the login dialog box of the query analyzer, choose SQL Server authentication, and
log in as sa. {pass. 8*1}
………….On the query analyzer interface, run the command select @@servername to query the
server name of the active SQL Server database.
# dis is a imp. Step u can find the RNC original name at the corner at bottom
window.
………..Run the command sp_dropserver 'TEST','droplogins'. (.Instead of Test the name
would be like RNC-HBY974565EP2..Just fr example.)
…………… run the command sp_addserver 'RNC402LEFT', 'LOCAL'. (eg.of Calicut,This is the
new name now which shold be same as of computer name}}
……….Close the query analyzer.
………….. Run >Cmd> net stop mssqlserver to stop the SQL Server and SQL Server Agent. (Y)
if it asks.
……………Run t>Cmd> net start mssqlserver to restart the SQL Server and SQL Server Agent.
6) Same way we have to match the TIME ZONE of BAM and our laptop. Just click on the time
of
BAM window>TZ> change that to INDIAN TIME+5:30
7) Go to START>NETWORK CONN.>EXTERNAL NW TEAM…Change the IP as Planned for
external BAM IP(10.47.145.98/28 as in Calicut)…No need to change others.

Check list for BAM:

1) Check BAM n SQL name consistency.:.

…In CMD>write command hostname.(it’ll show u ur new com nameRNC402LEFT)
.......In CMD>isqlw> select @@servername ( it’ll show u d same name)
2)..Check SQL VERSION & Operation.
….Just check the SQL icon at the bottom of ur window.it shold be Green
…In the SQL Query Analyzer window, enter the commands xp_msver and select
SERVERPROPERTY('Edition')…it will be like 8.00.2039

3.) ..Check Time in both BAM and UR”S Comp..it should be approx. same

4)..NW connections………INT/EXT….ok

5) Check the Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2,just by going My COMP>Properties.

Installing BAM Software:

..Connect to Eth1 and change laptop IP again acc.to the external IPs provided.
like for CAL RNC 402 we have10.47.145.98/28
10.47.145.99/28...subnet 255.255.255.240 (10.47.145.100 is virtual IP)
1..Again Open BAM window by putting External IP this time(10.47.145.98) .
Copy BAM software from your computer to BAM window..prefer that it is in a folder

2.Extract Version. BSC6810 V200R010C01B061 VER.rar. and paste to BAM (prefer E drive)

3. In INSTALL folder click Setup.exe…

{{It is just like any other Softare CD u r installing and most of the passwords are
8*1}}
…Choose ENGLISH for installing>Install>
…User name=Company name=HUAWEI ,Serial no.BSC6810

…SQL>ADMIN>FTP..all passwords 8*1

4.Install STAND-ALONE SYSTEM…….If u r using one OMU boards.

………DUAL SYATEM…………………if u r using two OMU boards.
5.In the last Put the VIRTUAL BAM IP like 10.47.145.100 in Calicut(Kerala)
…after installing you have to put this IP for login.
6.Select DEFAULT LICENCE for now or if u have then u can BROWSE n
Put that
7.FINISH {{hopefully BAM is installed}}

…You can check the successful installation of BAM by going in the Start Menu and
checking the Programs..BAM services and to Uninstall will be there.
….Also by clicking in the Services you can check some services already STARTING
AUTO.

Data configuration & Commissioning ………
Put the lan cable to Eth0 or Eth1 port and connect with LMT….change laptop IP
and login to RNC by putting external virtual IP.. 10.47.145.100
1) SET OFFLINE
2) RST DATA….yes
3) In Maintaince..>>SYSTEM>>BATCH Commands..OPEN

Paste the script in the notepad format to the area>>>SET (save failed
results)
>>Execute all>>>
4) Some errors can come ..check the solution and note them down for improvemnts
And after checking paste the new script again from starting(otherwise it will show
data already existing)If the number of Failure in Total Results is not 0, modify the
MML command script
5) FMT DATA……..(ALL SUBRACK)
6) SET ONLINE

Loading of Boards and Subracks..

SET LODCTRL…….LFB( load from BAM)

(all the boards will load software from BAM and start showing running..)
Verify Iub, Iu-cs &Iu-ps data by putting concerned
commands, Some are:
