La estructura básica del afirmativo del futuro simple: (somebody=alguien; somewhere-

algún sitio; something=algo)

It will go somewhere. Irá a algún sitio.

You will have something. Tomareis algo.(vosotros)

Nota: Con el futuro simple se utiliza el auxiliar modal (verbo modal) junto con la
forma básica del verbo principal (el infinitivo).
Nota: En el futuro simple el verbo no cambia de forma cuando se utiliza "he, she,
it" o cuando se habla en "tercera persona."

La estructura básica del negativo del futuro simple:

I won't talk to somebody. No hablaré con alguien
You won't get something. No cogerás algo. (tú)
He won't need something. No necesitará algo. (él)
She won't have something. No tomará algo. (ella)
It won't go anywhere. No irá a ningún sitio.
We won't write something. No escribiremos algo.
You won't have something. No tomareis algo.
They won't do something. No harán algo. (ellos)

Nota: Forma contraída: "won't" = "will not".

Nota: En las oraciones negativas en futuro simple el verbo va en infinitivo y se

.utiliza el auxiliar "won't".

La estructura básica del interrogativo del futuro simple: (anywhere = alguna o

cualquier parte, anybody = cualquiera, alguien, anything = cualquier cosa, algo)

Will you help somebody? ¿Ayudarás a alguien?
Will he write anything? ¿Escribirá algo?

Nota: Para hacer la pregunta en el futuro simple interrogativo simplemente se intercambia

el verbo modal "will" con el sujeto .

Nota: La palabra "some" y "any" a veces significan lo mismo. La principal diferencia es

que "some" se suele utilizar para afirmativas y "any" para negativas y interrogativas.

La estructura básica de las respuestas cortas del futuro simple:

Para qué se utiliza el futuro simple:

1. Para hablar sobre decisiones que hacemos espontáneamente en el
momento de hablar.

Ejemplo:
Pablo: "What are you doing this evening?"
Mario: "Oh . . ., I don't know. I think I'll probably go to the theatre."
Pablo: "Can I come?"

El futuro simple es una forma más indecisa de hablar en futuro. Su uso comunica
no solamente que hablamos sobre algo que va a ocurrir en el futuro, sino que
hemos tomado la decisión ahora y no antes.

Nota: Junto con el futuro simple se suelen utilizar ciertas palabras para hacerlo
aún más indeciso como "probably" (probablemente) y "I think" (pienso, creo).

2. Para pedir ayuda - "Will you help me?" (¿Me ayudas?) "Will you read this?"
(¿Lees esto?) "Will you open the door?" (¿Abres la puerta?)

3. Para ofrecer ayuda – "I'll help you." ("Te ayudo.") "I'll open the door." ("Te
abro la puerta.") "I'll carry those for you." ("Te llevo esos.")

Nota: para ofrecer ayuda con una pregunta, utiliza la palabra "shall". Shall I help
you? ("¿Te ayudo?" No, "Will I help you?" que se traduciría "¿Te ayudaré?" lo
cual sería un error.) "Shall" solamente se utiliza con "I" y "we" y
mayoritariamente con preguntas y ofertas, no afirmativas. Por ejemplo: “Shall we
go out for a drink later?” “Shall I help you carry that bag?”

4. Para hablar sobre predicciones basadas en poca evidencia. - "I think it'll
probably rain this evening so bring your umbrella." (Creo que probablemente
lloverá esta tarde así que trae tu paraguas.) "I think the price of gasoline will
probably go up so buy a more fuel-efficient car." (Pienso que el precio de la
gasolina probablemente subirá así que compra un coche más eficiente.)
