Baron Barnet t, Cover Artist

Dr Barnett has been photographing seriously for about 15 years

and began by documenting various elements in the western cow-
boy world. His goal is to isolate a unique moment or element in
a given environment. During his travels, he has photographed
botanical, traditional, and urban landscapes. In general, he has
used the Mamiya 7 medium format equipment and began using a
digital camera with a full sensor 2 years ago. Dr Barnett’s current
focus is photographing people in their environments, particularly
at special celebrations, and he often accompanies professional
photographers who have become his friends.

Palouse Falls: Taken in the spring, in southeast Washington state, the falls drop 200 feet. The name
commemorates the Palouse Indian Culture. The canyon at the falls is 377 feet deep, exposing a large
cross section of the Columbia River Basalt Group. The ancestral river flowed into the Columbia River.
