The Master of Arts in
International Education
The MAIED is designed to draw early-to-
mid-career professionals with at least one
year of relevant experience in traditional
and/or international educational field
settings. The program will encourage
students to show their ability to interact
with cultures or groups other than their
own and to do quality graduate work in
an independent/virtual setting. Strong
competence in spoken and written English
is highly recommended and proficiency in
a language other than English is required.

You can start your degree and courses any
day of the year - when you are ready. Due
to our self-paced approach, you can com-
plete courses at your own pace. This means
that you can both accelerate your degree,
or take a lighter workload. The degree is
completed fully online, so you will never
have to travel to our campus to complete
your courses.

Career Prospects
Students can pursue careers in
higher education, ESL programs, law,
international education associations,
accreditation agencies, international
development or human service agencies,
non-governmental organizations, cultural
exchange programs.
Admission Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- The candidate must have proficiency in
English language. When the candidate
is a not a native English speaker, has not
completed a degree in English, or has not
worked in English, the prospective student
must have a TOEFL score of 500PBT/61IBT
(or equivalent score in an equivalent
English test).
Methodology
Courses will focus on the sharing of
personal experiences in the field of
multicultural education, while developing
critical understanding and thinking in the
field. The lecture format will be enriched
by discussions aiming at developing
ideas and ensuring greater awareness and
increased knowledge.
