Meet Ms.

Gottschalk

Hello! My name is Tayler Gottschalk and I will be student teaching with Mrs.
Klein for the next seven weeks. I am currently a senior at Wartburg College in
Waverly, Iowa. I am majoring in elementary education with an endorsement in
reading. It is my last semester and I am excited to spending it teaching at Lincoln
Elementary! I look forward to getting to know your child during the time I am in
Mrs. Klein’s classroom and I wanted to give you a little background information
about me. I am originally from Waterloo, Iowa and have spent my whole life there. I
decided to take my own passion for learning and creativity and instill it in children
and teaching was a natural fit. Wartburg has been very fulfilling in both academic
and personal growth.
During my time at Wartburg College I have been an active member in the
National Science Teachers Association (NSTA). I have given many animal
presentations at Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) fairs during
my time with NSTA. Outside of academics I am an avid reader and writer and I
enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and
pets!
During my time at Lincoln Elementary, in
addition to getting to know your student, I will be
planning lessons that align with the standards and
benchmarks set by Lincoln Elementary, the Cedar
Falls School District and State of Iowa. I am
excited to provide instruction and facilitate your
child’s learning and exploration of the
curriculum. One of my primary responsibilities
will be to assess and provide feedback as your child
learns. I look forward to growing as a teacher and a
learner with the help of Mrs. Klein as well as your
kindergarten student!

Sincerely,
