MECHANICAL, ELECTRICAL, AND PLUMBING (MEP) PROJECT ENGINEER

LEWIS CONTRACTORS, an Owings Mills, Maryland based Construction Manager and General Contractor, is
seeking a qualified individual to fulfill Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) Project Engineer duties, as
described below. This is a full-time position, and the MEP Project Engineer will be based at Lewis Contractors’ main
office in Owings Mills, Maryland.

In general, the MEP Project Engineer shall assist the Project Manager in those duties required to execute the project
in an effective manner, with a particular focus on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, sprinkler, and other trades. The
MEP Project Engineer shall oversee the development of coordinated drawings for mechanical, electrical, plumbing,
sprinkler and other trades; and may be expected to integrate shop drawings and other documents into Building
Information Model (BIM) deliverables. Additionally, the MEP Project Engineer’s duties include, but are not limited to,
plans and specifications review (including review of document changes); preparation of as-built documentation;
preparation and interpretation of requests for information; preparation and interpretation of subcontract and contract
change orders, review of subcontractor submittal information; preparation of meeting minutes; general project-related
correspondence; and other tasks.

The MEP Project Engineer must have at least three (3) years experience in an equivalent or similar role within the
construction industry. Recent experience working in similar roles in the mid-Atlantic region is a plus. Fluency in
Microsoft WordTM, ExcelTM, and OutlookTM is a requirement for this position. Experience working with Building
Information Modeling (BIM) software is a plus.

High school diploma or acceptable equivalent is a requirement for this position. Achievement of a higher education
degree in a related field, such as engineering, construction management, or architecture, is a plus. The candidate
shall have excellent communication, organizational, client interface, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
