Overview of the lesson:


Aisha Ali had lesson on Prepositions.

Strengths:

- Engaging starter

- Well modulated voice / appropriate and suitable tone and intonation

- Did not immediately reveal the answers to the students who have asked questions related to the
topic. Instead, she made way, through questioning, in order for the students to discover the answers
themselves.

- Know the students by their names


Areas for development:
- Lesson plan should be submitted a day before the observation to demonstrate “planning ahead”
(see TP booklet)

- Include in your lesson plan the possible higher order thinking skills (HOTS) questions that you might
ask to the students as they do the activity. This can be an affective formative assessment tool.

- Engaging starter, however, when you presented the pictures, the answers were revealed
immediately. (I suggest that you don’t reveal the answers yet (ON, IN, etc), do THINK-PAIR-SHARE
first, before you reveal the answers)

- In the activity on identifying the preposition where you called students one-by-one, I suggest that
you involve all the students by 1)providing pieces of papers, 2)pose the question , 3)ask them to
write their answers on the papers, 4) and then ask them to stick their answers on the wall.

- If you are facing a class with behavioral issues, then you may provide several differentiated-
independent activities to the students.

- Creative activities (just need to be more differentiated)

- Reinforce CLEAN-UP TIME. This will develop their leadership skill and sense of responsibility.

- Please be guided accordingly from the above-mentioned areas for development.
